Depends on how far you sit from the desk, overall I prefer 32inch over 27 Inch. They both pretty good

If you dont do much gaming, or not seriously, consider also a 32" TV, will be more practical.

Yup good luck finding a 32" 1080p and at the distance you sit from the desk the resolution isn't so great.

I'm considering repairing the power supply on my 32 inch samsung 5 series 1080p TV and selling it as relic lol one the last 1080p 32 inch TV's worked pretty well for gaming, until the lighting struck .

50% is fine. That’s why the future is lithium, but LA can still do the job if you know it’s limitations.

I laugh when people buy a UPS and then complain that the battery is dead. But they run them down to 30% or less which worsens the lifespan.

If you're in CPT i wouldn't mind showing you how its done. From there onwards you can build more systems for lights and other little 12v goodies.

I've done one for my electric pedestrian gate as well. So when the powers out our gate can still be opened without the key using just our remotes. This backup powers the receiver and cisa lock.

For those who say the 7ah is too small, get the 18ah battery and you're sorted. I've done a little modification to a complex for their sliding gates which had to be left open during load shedding because they dont last for too many open close cycles. They now leave one of the gates closed and the 2nd can be run throughout loadshedding without killing the battery. Place stays secure.

My Samsung T260 monitor having given up the ghost - and still finding nobody in Johannesburg to repair the damn thing - I am considering a replacement 27" monitor. Usage is limited to general & viewing video (e.g. Netflix) at HD, i.e. no gaming. Budget is tight, say < R3,500.

Should I go for a Dell (with 3-year warranty) or a Samsung <sigh> curved (with a 2-year warranty) ?

I am in Cape Town, I will definetly take you up on your offer. Hopefully, I will require a tool, that I can tell my wife is super important, that without it the world will end or something like that.

It will probably be on a weekend. Pesky job requirement that I have to work during the week or else they wont pay me.

Yeah looks like good value but processor is a concern although it depends on you use. Had a cheap alcatel 10.1 tablet/laptop once and the boot up took 10 minutes, I would rather save a bit more and get a mid level laptop unless you want to use it for media and web browsing

If you dont have a hammer drill then you might need one to mount the box to the wall haha.. the hammer drill will also cost more than the materials for the job lol.
