that is amazing considering the refresh rate it supports, not 4k though good enough for gaming.

4k on a 27"??? Why? Even 1440p isn't the easiest resolution to drive.

You can see the difference, basically you can't see pixels from desktop viewing distances, if you want a Retina like experience 4k is the way but I’d agree for gaming it’s overkill.

Yes it is a great deal. 1440p ips 1ms 180hz and Freesync/G-sync so I think it's a steal. that other monitors you link is bad value and Samsung lower range monitors suck

Rather have a look at the Dell monitors that uses ips. That Samsung monitor is so bad well the one we have at the office. Color shifting and response time is slow. Even when moving windows or scrolling web pages I can see ghosting.

Aye, the cache is 512mb/1gb/2gb depending on the drive capacity you get.
The 512Gb drive has a 512Mb DRAM
The 1TB drive has a 1Gb DRAM
The 2/4TB Drive has 2GB Dram

If you're looking at creating a write cache array, your best 'value' would be the 2TB drives, 4TB still only has a 2Gb cache.
