From higher up on this page, do people reckon that even though I've order the 6950 at a certain price, if they do get stock I'll probably have to pay more? Because if so I'm probably better off trying that 6850 deal at the top of the page.

If you read their terms and conditions, you can basically forget about the 6950...

Another "online-store" that does the same is PC-Direct, who list items at amazingly low prices, when you place an order, they contact you, saying they can't get any stock, yet the items stay listed on their site more than a month later...

On Jun 4 PC-Direct said:
Looks like the Aerogate 2 is now an End-of-Life item and we are not receiving any new stock.

Ah, tricky buggers. To be fair, when I contacted them after placing the order they did say their suppliers were struggling to get word back from XFX and that it definitely wouldn't be in stock for 3-4 weeks IF AT ALL. I'll give it another week or two and then maybe go for that 6850, if no better deals are around. Pity, that 6950 would have been fantastic.

Not completely sure whether this might be a mistake on their part, but seems like a good price..
Logitech G9x Gaming Laser Mouse : R640 @ Takealot

I'm pretty sure that they have their price correct, because you can get the same mouse for R638 (excl shipping) here: http://www.eshopper.co.za/p910-001153/Logitech-G9X-Gaming-Mouse.aspx
So Take2/Takealot remains cheaper if shipping is included.

Hi All

I don’t really post on this thread, but I thought I would inform you that pricing on Hard disk drives, Processors, Optical drives and motherboard pricing are set to raise, we checked with our overseas vendors and contacts in the US and Netherlands and they confirm that pricing is already up on Hard drives and processors - we will start to see those price increases over the next few days and weeks to come in South Africa.

Sorry for the OT... :p

Any particular reason?

They are getting ready for the peak season... retailers buying bulk stocks, sending demand through the roof, supply staying the same... leading to upward pressure in the prices.

Just spoke to one of our hardware suppliers, they also said they're expecting an increase as the exchange rate is down a bit as well.
So thanks for the heads up, was gonna get my new HDD in a coupla weeks, but gonna buy it now rather.

Just saw another distributors pricelist a few minutes ago

They pushed up pricing on a Celeron 430c from R 259 this week to R299 for Monday that is like 15% increase

I think I need to double check my pricing as I was going to push up from R 249.00 to R259.00 4% increase
