Thanks for the heads up on the Makro 2TB external special, went and picked up 4 of them for my nas, seemed like a shame to strip them though

Is this special still on? Wouldn't mind getting one for myself!

Cool no prob!
Only thing is that voids the warranty, no biggy though unless you get a bad batch!

The external cases were very easy to open, no stickers or anything to show that you have stripped/opened them, I rate you could get away with returning a dead drive in its case again, but lets just hope it isn't a bad batch. (I've returned an external once to makro, a toshiba drive, it had click of death, and all they did was plug it in, at returns, and confirmed it and refunded me, not sure how well they look into it, if it has been tampered with or not, hopefully I wont have to find out :P)

@walterl, I think that special will more likely be out of stock before the special ends, although, there where still quite a few when I got in PE on monday

Why in the world is this so cheap? you battle to find 570's at R3600.

Awesome Price though, got a mate of mine excited as he's been wanting to upgrade to a 570, we just can't figure out how come the price is so low

Probably because it's EOL and they're getting 6xx in soon

Hi Everyone,

There are a lot of guys selling seemingly bargin price flash drives around Cape Town at the moment. I mean R100 for a 32Gb Kingston flash drive? Too good to be true? It sure is! It looks like the real deal, sealed in the packet, the packaging looks genuine but if you try and reformat it in your PC it won't format and becomes trash. It's a real case of if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Where did you buy yours?

Saw a 64Gb Kingston flash drive at China Mall in Roodepoort yesterday for R160.
