i've got one of those alcatel lucent jobbies that you need another router to fill in the PPPOE details ..

Would a MikroTik not work? They're not the easiest to set up, but they're cheap

Seems it will work then, can plug it into the wan port and enter the PPPOE details.

If your line is with Telkom use the online live chat to ask for the switch to VDSL, they actually know what you're asking and make it happen.

High Corp - High speed USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 share ports,

TrendNet - 2 x USB 2.0 ports

This does seem like a good deal for the price though. Only downside is the lack of LAN Gigabit ports.
