So I decided to this whole thing a try as well, my sister has been using Shein for a while and has been quite happy, so I thought I'd dip a toe. Ordered about R400 worth of various items yesterday afternoon and I see that there are already updates. Order has been packed, shipment was waited for and is currently sitting on "order shipped" I see above that the next step should be paying the taxes - how does this part normally happen?
 
Ordered last night. Hopefully the customs charges aren't too bad.

they will either SMS you or email you a breakdown with the link to pay the duties
 
got my order today ,9 working days ,280 vat etc .socks are small for size 11 ,vests same quality as most in price bracket ,hockey skirts fit my daughter and are true to size M ,fishtank pump works but only 150ltr per hour ,flow tube well its a piece of plastic pipe with a ball in it .nothing wow ,could have bought all locally within a 2 km radius from home .cant complain though .easy enough no hassles .
 
Takealot order ,4 items all in stock in Jhb ,55 km from me ,7 working days delivery .very irritating indeed .

For my 4th order I didn't receive any sms or email regarding the VAT + customs like the previous 3 orders. I just saw that it was payable when I logged into my Temu account.
 
has anyone else noticed this ,since ive had the Temu app every product or item i google is from Temu ,now removed the app .
 
Second order of random BS was placed on 22 Feb and Delivered on 5 Mar. Not too bad.
I am still waiting for other random BS I ordered on AliExp in Jan to be delivered.

That's Google personalised search returns , nothing to do with Temu
 
Which items are worth getting from Temu ? Not sure if their reviews are trustworthy.
