I've also just gone and ordered a whole bunch of items - many my GF will love - R507 - keen to see how this works out.

I have been eyeing specific resistance band for last 2-3 days and what I have noticed is that I search couple of times, click similar items and lo and behold, that resistance band is gone from the search list and now the price is at least 50% more. Next day, price defaults to original usually.

It could be genuine and depend on demand/supply but something is off.

*Yip - something is definitely strange. Cost of blue resistance band from same seller went from 212 to 323 and then back to 212. Managed to purchase it now. TAL lists it as 399 rands so even after the customs/tax, it should come out as 130 rand cheaper. At least cheap as of now, TAL can probably make it cheaper by one of its specials. :cool:

Maybe but my order description is not too far off. Pull rope is resistance band and mesh bag is basketball net.

I have a feeling that our government is going to come hard on temu soon. Or maybe they will actually inspect random items and try to match description with product and take action? I don't know if they can do that legally.

It’s weird how buffalo has been skirting duties for years now where all the other couriers toe the line, Sars is obviously aware of what they are doing so why are they giving them free rein?

Im pretty sure SARS can legally search any package that goes through customs.

I ordered my first 3d printer from Bangood 7 or 8 years ago and when it arrived at my door it was closed with white tape that had SARS' logo and some writing on. I think the writing was something like "inspected by customs" IIRC
 
Ordered a bunch of random items for the price of electric toothbrush heads.

Purely because toothbrush heads appear to be sold out in all shops in my town since about November. So now going via Temu I get the heads, plus many other trinkets for the local price of just the toothbrush heads (if they could be found in stock)

Let's see if any of it arrives.

Temu is currently really good, I ordered from Takealot and Temu on the weekend, Temu's order has just cleared customs yet Takealot order has not shipped as yet.
 
So, after chatting to GF last night, she says they work the same as SHEIN.
Everything thing is exactly the same so she told me my stuff will arrive - there is a lady in her office who orders alot from SHEIN and TEMU and it's always the same driver. HAHA! The guy always complains he needs help - it's like they have 1 driver in CPT. :)

I wonder how long they’ll be offering free shipping on all orders?
How much is shipping when it’s not free?
