Postmanpot wanted me to post, so i told him i wont in a PM. Because the discussion wont go anywhere. I listed responses to him, and told him, even if i reply with those responses that youd have a response back. He asked if he could post, and i told him i would not bother. But if he does post, he is posting as himself. but not as me, and he shouldnt be quoting me.
The problem Splinter is your counter arguments are fundamentally flawed because you back track on statements you made. This is just one example of a post, and your "logic"...

The proof to my exquisite statement (by use of that word implies i somehow fabricated it) was shown and then you say

So first you dont believe they have the same parts and ask for proof for my exquisite statement which you begged for and now by inference you admit to them having the same parts .... BUT !? WTF ... read the posts typed by your own hand. You back track on the statements made. That is now what you call "exquisite"
Practice some logic and common sense, i mentioned the mechanicals of certain VAG models being the same. Of course one car might have four doors the other two (a 2 year old can see this and its a stupid counter argument). And there is not 100's of kilos difference between the cars that performance will be so heavily affected. So you telling me the weight of your M235i is very different to an M135i (it a 25kg difference (TARE KG) ... with the M235i being heavier)
The point here now is not to show how ignorant you are (yet again) with cars. But to highlight why arguing with you is fruitless. You honestly have been fighting me but you have not been bringing up any evidence (besides whats in your head) of the contrary to any statement ive made
And btw i think you meant s-tronic, not steptronic right? (as your post was talking Golf and Audi, steptronic is BMWs lingo for their auto box).

There has been lots said. The argument of many other points have now come into the fray, and before you know it we arguing on the merits of euthanasia and underaged workers.
So lets get back to the argument that started it.
I said an R outlauches an M235i ... Meaning dead stop, launch control and "lets see who is in front" ...

dont deflect the request, dont bring in other "stuff". This was the point being argued. Dont post sentimental feelings you have regarding Audi or VW telling lies about their cars performance numbers. Be the supposed logical person you are and

So stick to just this point here. Lets conclude on this one. you think we can do this? simple request ... but somehow i doubt you would. and all i will end up saying is "told you so, cant argue with this guy, because he has no evidence to back anything he says"
EDIT: ill put you off the ignore list. dont mind having a healthy argument. but if your next post is one when you getting all sensitive then you on it again, because you a lost case and i wont be bothering.

As much as adamr is now trying to select only a couple of things to focus on (and ignoring other stuff he said and which has been rebutted), at the end of the day this whole thread was about opinions on various things (for example, the auto box).
And it's not sound logic to agree the cars have differences but then still call them exactly the same

A better description of a "tool" might be someone saying stuff about someone else, and then demanding that there can be no other response other than in the format as dictated by that someone. And then saying if you do not abide by this, then you are a tool....

You are squirming. And embarrassing yourself. Any objective person can see you took his pm's and tried to alter them enough to make them look like your own. Whether it was your decision alone, or an agreement between the two of you is something only the two of you know for now.
But, based on the evidence in this thread, I can objectively say you have no integrity and are verging on the pathetic.

Actually no, any objective person will see that the direct quotes were merely altered in a minor way, which I assumed adamr would be happy with, having asked me not to post direct quotes.
More importantly, anyone could immediately tell that it was adamr replying to you... Are you really that dim to not know this, and have to ask the obvious?
Respond to adamr, we're waiting. Or just carry on squirming and embarrassing yourself, just like you have been since adamr entered the fray.
Ok, after all the other differences of opinion which I showed you to be incorrect on, this is now one of the major things you are focusing on.
So lets focus on this.

Issue 2 :You also say YOU have seen this on the audi (singular) and the Porsche's you have had.

Ok, as to issue 1, the link is to posts from 2011, and, I quote from this self same link:

So it does not seem that there were, as claimed by adamr, parts legitimately swapped from Porsche to VW/Audi. And neither does it seem like there were many, relative to total components in a car.
And at the end of the day, WTF was the point of mentioning that components were shared? Trying to prove that having same parts means identical vehicle? Which is what I was also laughing at - by admar's logic the Porsche and VW and Audi are identical as they share identical components...

The point is you have been calling all these cars exactly the same.
They have different weights, different centers of gravity, different turbo's (M135i and M235i here) and WTF do you know about what software is loaded on them?
And you keep on with the personal insults (i.e. ignorant). Has anyone on this forum actually met you? I'm starting to think you just another Noodle troll...
