Help! Audi S3 or VW Golf R?

See, that's the thing with the Smart and Adam, they are cars for all people. Real people's cars. These S3 and Golf 7s are only ever driven by douchebags.

I love being a douchebag, I can't help it. Sorry. I'm still not changing cars, yet, anyway :p

So Roux, what would you suggest as a replacement for the S3 (excluding BMW) ?

If AWD is an absolute must, can't see why it should, but some like it - WRX. Otherwise something with a bit more soul and flair, perhaps a Giulietta. Think outside the box.

2016 Focus RS.

Poena, is that you?

Or even the Giulia when you can get one.

Douchebag material, my personal recommendation is the new Mini Cooper S JCW Sedan :)

Meh. Fun little car, but will probably get tiring quickly.

Quattro is awesome, but it's not a necessity. The Giulietta is a beautiful car, I love the look of them, I see there are Squadra Corse limited edition's going for less than the S3. Only thing I'm not keen on is the reliability factor and the interior is definitely not as nice as the S3.

I wouldn't buy a Ford, that's for sure. Never been a fan of Ford's.

Those will probably be a bit pricey when they do eventually land in SA. Also not after a sedan, too big. But damn, that is a fine set of wheels.

It's properly beautiful, I'd love one.

You could go boy racer with a new Civic Type R? Will probably hold it's value extremely well.

Only 100 of those RGM-tuned limited edition models.

How difficult it is to put a turbo on a large 6 cylinder engine and a RWD drive train...
It must suck that most of the 2.0 cars are faster than the BMW.

No it doesn't suck. Only douchebags care about stat sheets while racing their charnas from robot to robot. People who actually like driving, care about the driving experience...

Which part do you disagree with?

I think you mean "parts".

Smaller engine, better performance, better gearbox, better fuel consumption, better drive train.

- Smaller engine : Well, should I disagree with this, or should I just say "duh"?
- Better performance : How so? My car does 0-100Kms in 4.8. What car you talking about?
- Better gearbox : As I said earlier; you appear to be delirious. This has been mentioned a few times in this thread already (as in the ZF wins hands down).
- Better fuel consumption : Well, I would fricking hope so dude! Then again, what with the recent revelations about VW cheating on things including fuel consumption you would be stupid to believe their numbers.
- Better drive train : totally subjective.

Anyway, I thought we were talking about your awesome wisdom as to why there were 4 exhaust pipes needed?
