Do your recommendations still hold up, or are there new and better red wines on the market that you can recommend?
Thank you very much.

Also have a second question - do any of you order from a wine club or directly from an estate? Does it work out cheaper or not really? Some of the wine clubs seemingly have a limited selection and I cannot find all my faves.
That's the oneAre you referring to this one?

Zinfandel 2018 - 6x750ml | Blaauwklippen
Plush sour cherry and abundant cranberry with licorice, dark chocolate, cinnamon and allspice are supported by delicate floral notes on the nose. A savoury textured wine with chalky tannins and a mineral mid palate concludes in a fresh focused finish with hints of tobacco lingering on the palatewww.blaauwklippen.com
I'm a little late to the party, but what sort of function is it? Sit-down meal or just finger snacks? And if so, what's on the menu? And how will it be served-- straight from the bottle or decanters?I have a smallish function to arrange. The request is for 10 bottles red wine and 8 bottles white. Not plonk, but not breaking the bank either.
If there are any connoisseurs here, what would you recommend? I heard good things about De Grendel, Warwick Estate and Eagle's Nest.
