help please , where is my hard disk

I had good old win xp on the computer.

Then I install win 7.

I change the bios boot to dvd rom 1st.
Start computer and dvd start, I ask for fresh installation.
It did not format the drive, but just install win 7.

After win 7 was installed, my second hard drive is missing.

In the bios there are just
samsung hd503h sata 2
st380815as sata3
and a
hl dt st dvdra sata6


sata 1 is not detected.

During win xp, both hard drives were there. there is also 2 dvd drives.


Can you please help me.

went to disk management, gave the drive a letter, then windows saw it.

All my data is on there, was worrying for a while.
