Hi, i bought a new Futjitsu laptop from Makro. the OS is windows 7 64bit. i bought the cellc dongle, but when i try to install the dongle, windows just "freeze" for like 10min and the tries to unstall the software. After instalation, the Cellc mobile partner software doesnt pick up the dongle. The "dvd" rom drive creatd by the dongle. i.e. the dongle software is also very slow to access, i am talking minutes just to get into the route.

can someone please help me with a solution? i am about to throw the dongle or computer out the window.

p.s. the dongle works on my other computer running windows XP

thanks,

have you tried a different usb port?,I have the same modem and I found the modem to be unstable on certain usb ports.

hi, i have tried all available usb slots, same issue

What anti virus is on there? -Norton maybe? - try disabling it & see if any differance.
I use win7 64bit & don't have any problems with either of CellC modems.

disabled it, still no joy. any other ideas?

If its installed it should have put a shortcut on the desktop - plug the modem in then open that & see how long before you see signal the bottom left of the dash - then connect.
Seen the laptops new maybe the hard drive is still indexing making everything slow.

after about 5 min i get device and signal, but when i try to connect the comutoer freeze and after 10 min or so i get a error msg saying sorry no device attached.

p.s. my old e220 has same issue, definately something on the fujitsu laptop thats causing it.

Sounds like its starving for power then - only other thing to check is go to Control panel/Power options & see if its set on "High Performance" if it is drop it back to "Balanced"

What Fujistu notebook did you buy I am very curious to read up on the specs...

All try and use "MDMA" application - did you install anything recently on the new notebook - perhaps drivers etc, also check on fujitsu seems website for the latest drivers - other solution would be is to reinstall your bios...

p.s. its a LIFEBOOK A530/AH530

Interesting specs - I wonder if this is cause to your problem, a conflict issue try and disable 3G/UMTS and then try the dongle - also I would recommend visit CELL C websites and download the latest drives

Hi absk30

i bought a wireless router and connected the dongle through the router. works fine. kinda defeats the purpose of mobile broadband, but at least it’s working.

Excellent news glad to see you up and running - a pity though you had to go out of your way to purchase a router in order for you to use Woooosh on your new notebook.

What router did you buy ?
