Hello guys,

I've been trying and trying to get this going, but no dice. Could you help me please?

I have a Mega100wr and I would like to put the router in bridge mode so that:
a. anyone who connects to the router may use the Telkom account. and:
B. I'd like to use my Afrihost account by dialing up from the pc.

so I do the following:
1. login to the router.
2. Go to Advanced.
3. click on wan, then quickstart.
4. I set the connection type to bridge.
5. click on apply.
6. click Save settings and restart router.
7. When router boots up, the telkom internet account is suddenly disconnected and on the basic page, I can see the connection type as bridge.
8. if I try dialing up to Afrihost account on the pc, everything works fine, but when I enter user cridentials for the telkom account on the router, then it connects but it is no more set to bridge.
What am I doing wrong???
As I'd like the Telkom account to be connected and also at the same time use the Afrihost account?

Eish, sorry for the trouble, Help would really be appreciated.

Kind regards

Bridge mode only allows full bridging ie. only initiating the PPPoE connection from the PC (your Afrihost account example).
In order to keep an account in the router and "over-ride" it on a per-PC basis, you need to select the option called "Half-Bridge".. though I'm not sure the Mega 100's have the feature.

Isn't what OP is looking for PPPoE with Pass-through. That way:
a. anyone who connects to the router may use the Telkom account. and:
By default the Telkom account will be used (details stored in router)

B. I'd like to use my Afrihost account by dialing up from the pc.
You then log in from your PC and pass-through the router.
