You can't use the defence force against its own people. You have to be subtle and host polony evenings.

Just background info- I hadn't heard about this at all before this thread.

Hermanus CPF update 26/03/18 at 13h30 : situation fluctuates between tense and critical. SAPS has the crowd under control. Crowd has splintered into two. Gateway closed as a precaution - the crowd is heading back down Swartdam Road, R43 remains open. Avoid Church Street, sporadic stone throwing.

Reports that Zwelihle police station and recycle plant apparently on fire.

Shots fired and looting of the Gateway Shopping Centre.

Hermanus R43 linking CBD to neighbourhoods of Sandbaai, Onrus, Vermont, Hawston, Hemel en Aarde etc cut off sporadically. Parents from those areas unable to reach kids at school in town in instances.

People working in town or New Harbour unable to close shop and get home.

Neighbourhood of Sandbaai on the front line including Beach Club, Industrial area and slightly lesser extent New Harbour.
Many shops in town closing including checkers woolies etc and the mall as looting

I read of some looting, but nothing confirmed. Gateway Mall and Whale Coast Mall are both closed.
 
this is bloody awful. the bussed in brigade. crush them i say. otherwise this *** will crawl along the coast like a cancer.

leka ***. why are the landgrabs being referred to 'protests'??
