Hermanus riots

page 7 and no sign of the usual little brigade crylaughing each others's comments and telling people how paranoid and racist they are ....... funny that.

Yeah. It's not affiliated but apparently quite a good line up.

Just checked the store directory. Very nice. I'll feel right at home this time. Last time I had to discover Kalahari/Takealot ...

Some video of Hermanus today.

"Nah bru, don't be alamrist, no ones land is going to be stolen, there's no need for hysteria, the government said so"

:D

Well civilians taking part in land grabs is different from it being sanctioned by the government. This is why I never got the Zimbabwe comparisons. Mugabe literally told people to drive the white farmers away by force. He essentially sanctioned the land grabs.

EFF stoking coals all over SA. I think they want another marikana they are trying to force the hand of the police to defend themselves with deadly force.

We all are going to pay dearly for what mal-enema wants.

Hermanus CPF update 26/03/18 at 20h45 : the meeting went well although there is still sporadic vandalizing taking place is Zwelihle. High SAPS visibility in the area. Chris Nissen addressed the crowd and a follow up meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm at the municipal buildings with the MEC for Human Settlement to discuss time line and processes with the Community.

So, a quick summary from reliable sources.

There were a lot of incidents in Zwelihle last night. Gunshots and tear gas were used, many residents fled their homes and over 700 people are being accommodated at the Sandbaai hall and a couple of churches.

There is a massive effort underway to feed everyone from babies to pensioners and the community are overwhelmed with volunteers and donations of food and bedding are coming in.

The situation is still very tense and the residents are all talking about incomers instigating and perpetuating the unrest.
