Hermanus riots

The delegation have just left the sports ground in Zwe where they were to address the crowd. The initial report is that someone said something they didn't like and the Cele and Zille et al have cleared out in a convoy. Waiting to hear more. This is happening now.

There is nothing to negotiate. The people of Zwelihle do not want anything in particular expect for anarchy to continue. This is clear.

They say we are Hooligans and Terrorists but they can't wait for the Minister to get here and listen to both parties so that we could get arrested if we were keeping people hostage in Zwelihle, they are in Zwelihle with more than 30- 50 Police Vans, Private Cars, Private Police to arrest the Zwelihle Renewal Committee but why not wait until we all engage and talk with the Minister, I mean we are all given a chance to talk to the Minister why the sudden panick?

Clearly they don't think their actions will have any consequences, then get more riled up when they find out they do? This lot have lost the plot.

Dono when or where, but apparently Cele said to the people that the Police will kick down every door until they find the missing gun :D

According to HZ twitter "A large number of young people leaving the stadium because they are rejecting his message of law and order." They obviously don't want this party to end :crylaugh:
 
As I said, all the problems this country is currently experience will be solved by more jails. Lots of them.

Today, police minister Bheki Cele visited Hermanus. During a stakeholder meeting in the municipal auditorium, he said that the police is here to uphold the law.
He said a police base will be established in Zwelihle and that those who break the law will be apprehended.
Three weapons were stolen last night when a member of the public order police was attacked Two weapons had been recovered. "We will not leave here until that third weapon has been recovered," said Cele.
The police officer is believed to be in a critical condition after being attacked with an ax. He was transferred to a hospital in Cape Town this morning.
Cele addressed the community at the Zwelihle sport grounds at 13:00. There was a mass walk-out, but some members of the community did return to the meeting. Cele met with Zwelihle Renewal committee members and a follow up engagement is planned for Tuesday next week.
