Heroic Dungeons...

Group of us playing on Dragonblight (5)
Between the 5 of us we have a full group of Healer/Tank/3 x DPS
Unfortunately we're all geared for heroics as DPS.

So I've convinced the other guys to Tank. Still working on our resident Priest to heal. So we're busy running normals to Gear them up for heroics. With a Tank only- the ques are instant :)

And we're breezing throught the dungeons- even thou I'm (Mage) pulling half the dungeon :p

DPS is great :) Lightweave, Crescendo of Suffering, and the Volcano card procs often!

Why don't you craft your Gear? Each of us has a specific proffession. (Got the Volcano card from friend) And we all craft free of charge for each other.

My Tailoring is at almost 500 :) You can get 2 Epic pieces from tailors.

Dude the old saying of "if you spank it you better be ready to tank it" goes a long way there.
I get so annoyed with the dps pulling that I normally dont heal them after 3 times and just let them die. Res, moan, rinse and repeat.
 
Well some would say that is the weakness of bear tanks, AoE aggro holding, the other tanks have no issues here as long as they keep it up. In heroics it is not such a big issue as (for now) CC is key in surviving trash packs. Once everyone has purple gear I can see it going the same way as WOTLK in the end, facerolling AoE the trash packs. This means that bears will once again be left in the back of the aggro holding race for groups of mobs.

I have that problem if I forget to put on Misdirection or it lapses at the wrong time then I seem to pull aggro from the tank. My bad I know but I am working on it.

There is a massive difference between pulling by mistake and pulling on purpose and thinking that the tank will just pick up the slack. I go out of my way to heal the guys getting smashed by mistake as long as it doesnt compromise the tank.
Had this tard last night who kept trying to pull other trash mobs while the tank was busy, it was seriously annoying.
 
I've recently started helping some of the dps in our guild gear up as their q times take forever. Dps is still low so I try and have them cc as much as possible just to have the healers start pulling mobs cus they get annoyed when I take my time. I know alot of people are complaining about the tanks but we went through 4 healers on the 3rd boss in Blackrock Caverns cus the one idiot after the other just stood still and healed died from aoe and emo quit the grp(me and the 3 dps survive cus we run and reset the boss). The 5th healer was a priest with half of his gear in greens and some dps items yet he managed to keep all of us up as we didnt take too much aoe dmg and he moved when he had to.
luckily for him a nice pair of healing boots dropped:) and the rest of the place was done without a single wipe.

Recently playing on my hunter its like I auto target next set of trash after the last mob of the first pull dies. Never done this before and was wondering if something changed in a patch. Happend a couple of times and has not resulted in wiping the group yet. Very carefull now when I am on the last mob of a trash pull.

It's a bug, I've done this many times and actually got kicked once :( Also had the same problem with using Hunter's Mark while in combat
 
Yeah, hunters are pulling all over the place. Left click dammit, left click!
 
Ok. Nearly soiled myself when it happend the first time. Does make the game a bit more intereting when things go haywire now and then. :D

Still need to level my tailoring :x Was going all out on enchanting so tailoring had to take a back seat first ^^

Enchanting is full now, so will start leveling tailoring as the gold comes in. Not the richest mage on Blade's Edge :p
 
Have done most of the Heroics on the Random Grouping system (Except Underwater and Blackwing ones) and it seems the groups I get is improving. I'll get 1 group an evening that disbands when it hits a wall against a boss.

So just looking at HC's which boss do you guys think is the Ultimate PUG killer?

1st boss SFK is a good pug killer.
2nd boss Grim Batol, 3rd as well but you can skip that fella and his dragon.

But the ultimate pug killer would have to be Ozruk in Stonecore hc. Stonecore is hardcore.

First boss SFK

Haven't been able to down him (i don't have worthwhile interrupts so I can only pewpew), every group I've been in either disbands/requeues
 
SFK is a pug killer, but since im a warrior tank, I can usually sort it out. If I get a pala healer and lots of melee dps, I turn it into a AoE fest like good old Wrath days. My favourite HC tbh, as long as you get past the 1st boss.
 
I think I am more lucky than not. Had Grim Batol as random heroic on Saturday, on the 1st boss even after seeing AoEing trash worked well, I asked the guys if they update for achievement, and we finished that run with both achievements done, and only 1 accidental wipe on 3rd boss.
 
Yeah you're lucky. The people I group with do not understand the Boss mechanics...
