Higher electricity prices?

Think about this as well - I pay a maximum of R150 for electricity every month
Certainly you can talk with a bill like that - we pay about R1300.00 per month - and we use our power conservatively, I mean no spotlights, electric fences, alarms (if I had those luxuries - I definitely wouldn't be able to pay Eskom)
ps. Anyone know how to do an illegal connection?

I agree with this in principle but somethings also needs to be done before we will pay up, firstly, they need to fire all the current eskom executives, and run eskom like a department of government, I believe the eskom CEO is currently earning more then our president, this is completely ridiculous and don't anyone tell me that the job is demanding, I'd tell you that being a president must be so much more demanding, and pricing transparency must be inforced completely, again, there shall be no trade secrets, what secrets? they using our money, we demand to know.

Agree 100%. We are treating the symptoms and not the rot that created it. SA needs to cut out the rot.

So how many coal power stations are there in Cape Town in use? How come the Western Cape have to fork out more money if and correct me if I'm wrong, the whole Western Cape is running off Koeberg? Did I miss something. How does the distribution work?
