Hikvision rstp feed

Hi all. Anybody has any experience with Hikvision camera feed in Home Assistant. I am trying to view a feed from my Hikvision DVR. I am first testing in VLS just to see if I can access the feed. I can open the feed in VLC but it is extremely slow and pixelated, no matter how low I set the settings for the camera. Anybody had this issue before?

Tried going directly to the camera instead of the DVR?

Only thing I can think that would be different to my setup.

It is analogue cameras. Is it possible to go directly to the camera?

Try using the sub-stream, it should perform much better. If it still doesn’t, then it’s likely a DVR issue or a network link that’s too slow rtsp://Admin:[email protected]:554/Streaming/Channels/102

/Streaming/Channels/103

Also for better security practices, don't use the admin user, add a user with only viewer permissions.
