I would recommend you save up and get the Q8600. I have made my decision. Did some research this is probably the best panel on the market in that price Range and is actually takes out heavier hitters (LCDs) with ease. Its got almost all ofthe good stuff as well so thats a benefit. And I saw a demo, really crisp and well balanced picture. IMO

So i'm in the market for a new TV preferably 75 inch, after looking at extensive reviews etc it seems the H9G which is being launched in the USA and successor to their version of the q8600 is the one to go for.

Anybody know when the new Hisense models will be announced here?

Been playing around with the secret menu. and must say adding that with a DNS service , opens up a whole new world of apps and streaming options.

ITV Hub and bbc iplayer - alot better that the crap SA channel options.

Hoping that i find some more gems in other regions.

Quick question and perhaps it has been asked/answered here before.
I have the Hisense Q8600 and to my knowledge, in the US this would be the H9F model which runs Android TV, would we not be able flash the US firmware on this TV to get rid of the VIDAA OS?

This is whilst I am waiting form my 2019 Nvidia Shield TV Pro to arrive.

You can enable it by going into the hisense service menu
Please follow instructions below:

Press the COG WHEEL

Press OK on SETTINGS

Press OK on SOUND

Press OK on SPEAKERS

Highlight BALANCE ensuring it’s set to 0

Press 1-9-6-9 on your remote

The letter M will appear on the top left corner

Press the QUICK SETUP or COG WHEEL button
This works on most Hisenses by the way

Does anyone have any info on when they will make vidaa 4 available as an update ? I saw on the local Hisense site they already have new models with vidaa 4 already instalped.

What is the best picture configuration for Q8600. Just received it and want to get the full picture potential out if it.

Could someone please repost the J1127 firmware? All the links seem to be dead.

Question with respect to the Q8600, how is this display 8bit+FRC as per the specs on the Hisense website yet it supports dolby vision which is 12bit?

Could someone explain this to me?

Yes please that would be great, even better would be if we could get the Vidaa 4 OS at some point in time.

Here is a link to a in depth explanation:

I've downloaded the firmware and loaded it onto my flash. It's already in bin format. However, when I try to upgrade via USB on my 65Q8600 it says the latest firmware is already installed. It's on version J1028 I think.

What am I doing wrong?
Copy the software file (.Bin File) to an empty USB that has been formatted to FAT32
Insert the USB into the TV
Press the settings button on your Remote
Go to settings
Go to Support
Go to Software Update
Go to update via USB
The TV Will then Reboot.
When the TV switches on again:

Go to settings > Support > Restore to Factory Default

The TV will reboot again and when it starts up again you will be required to complete the setup wizard. Once done leave the TV on and connected to the internet for about five minutes. Then, unplug the TV from it's power source and leave it unplugged for 2 minutes.
When you have switched the TV back on, Leave it on and connected to the internet for another 5 minutes and then test the apps.

Shot. Will try it tonight and report back.

Edit: Worked like a charm. Thanks again.

Anyone experiencing the YouTube app hangs very often while watching something? Tried clearing the cache, cookies, etc but it still happens often.

Anyone know what the latest firmware is? I've been on J1127 since December last year.

Needs an update.
