I tried *147#,1,2 and just get two offers, one the 4GB and the other I can't remember. I got more offers once but it was the standard web offers and not the 50+50GB one. *147#,2 gives me more offers but here the 40+40GB costs R299 if I remember correctly. So none of the offers you are getting.
I believe this started when I lost the 60+60GB. I don't see how the SIM can be responsible but I do know Cell C has previously mucked up profiles where it just stops working and believe this is something similar. It's usually easier to just buy a new sim so will see when my bundle runs out as Cell C themselves are usually unable to fix such problems.
I looked at other options and the Telkom ones are usually quite attractive. I don't like MTN much as you have to use specific routers and can't use it in another device. The issue is they are all in the region of R200-300. Same as Cell C but with Cell C I can use it over 2 or sometimes 3 months. If I go with the same allocation elsewhere it usually costs well over R100 putting me back to square one.
I'm tired of always having the run around and scrambling for something good because they can't give us consistency. I'll see how my finances go and perhaps get Vumatel for R449 sometime next year.
