BTW you're not supposed to drink the clove oil :eek: soak in cotton wool and place it on the tooth. Whisky also helps numb it.

Still have pluclked up the courage. Now there a general numbness on that side of my face. Googled it and found that it may be an abscess. Bought some antibacterial lozenges and stuck them in there..hopefully I will still be able to chew on Christmas day.

PS- Do you get discounted rates if u visit a child dentist?

Rinse your mouth with saltwater, it works better.
 
After Christmas - no way Im missing out and it's only 4 days to go. PS - I stop posting here - please will someone write a good obituary -

nope, it will do more than mouthwash, rinse after u eat, and remember to floss.
U need a dentist.

If you google a bit more, you'll find that the bacteria in your mouth can actually kill you if it seeps into an open wound.
So keep it clean.
 
I was at the dentist recently and it surprised me how little pain I felt - the injection was the "most painful" if I should even call it painful, and they were using surgical tools and drilling to remove a tooth of mine that had broken into pieces. I was really very impressed.
So stop wasting bandwidth on this thread and GO TO THE DENTIST!!

Arabbess, you're busy putting your life in danger because you're to scared to go to the dentist, it's all in the mind .... why don't you at least make an appointment NOW, you might not get one when you've eventually ready to go ... then grab the dentist by his goolies and tell him "We're not going to hurt each other, are we?"
