All I can say now is... I'm going shopping 2mrw for a new wall unit and a bracket for my LCD, currently using a display setup from a my mates old store (when 19inch Plasma cost +-R20000 :) ) so I need to "tidy" up my setup (and hide the cables) but hey... if it works good, looks good and sounds good... why not :)

BUT.. I still like the PINK wall :)

Lol Shakira does look hotter with a pink tan:) Note that the pics with the pink wall were taken with my sony erricson camera and the white wall pics were taken with my crappy 5800 camera so the white wall actually looks alot better in reality than in the pics.

I'm also planning on having a unit custom built around my screen to double as a border. Should be getting that in the next month or 2. But here's a rough idea of my plan:

WOW - thats all I can say, watched Iron Man 2 on the HD20 - and wow, can't wait for a better screen than my oak coloured wall :p... its also the first time my speakers have been played in a decent sized room...and again....wow.... I thought the roof was going to collapse from the bass, and I was only playing at -15db...

I'll get some pics up over the weekend once I neaten a few things up...

nice wall unit DJ, makes the 50" look "small" :)

I was thinking the same thing, I see he's made sure there's still enough room to expand, to about 70" I guess

Yeah the wall unit is huge. I had it custom made as there is an indent in my wall which I wanted to cover with it. You should know what a mission it was to get it in the house...

I had the same reaction when I got my projector:) Iron Man 2? Is it out on Blu-Ray yet? I bought 300 on blu ray last week, but haven't watched it yet. Was watching Wanted last night on Mnet HD and the opening scene where the Indian lady gets shot made everyone jump in their seats and got their hearts racing:p I need more movies that have that effect on people:p

Tideland... Terry Gillam(sp?) movie, amazing movie! Heck any of his movies :) Were going to watch Fear and Loathing tonight (again!) after we get back from our Omega 3 overdose :)

Not really into horror movies... I watched GI Joe last night. Pretty cool movie with lotsa explosions:p

I just could not get excited about GI Joe, so unoriginal.... complete rip off of Star Wars meets up with James Bond (all the flipping masks and "Jedi" type ninjas, under sea base... etc) Seriously a whole lot of unbelievable crud coming out of Hollywood at the moment.... Seriously dunno what was the last good movie (other than Avatar, which was good because of the effects & unusualness of it)...

Kalahari had it in their 2 Blu Rays for R450 section a while back, but I cant seem to find it there anymore. I assume they're out of stock...

Here are the pictures - I initially took of the wall they built, but you can't see the joins, or any fault... so I thought I'd post pictures of my progress on the room.

I still have to put in wooden floors and a carpet...as well as move the center console in front of the fireplace, as soon as I can afford longer speaker cables :p

I'm also going to work on making a temp. projector screen, 3.2m width.

Excuse the mess, this is literally 10min after moving everything in to the room.

Yo very neat. You do realise that once your projector is mounted your screen is gonna be lower than where it is because it projects downward at a 30degree angle. You may have to adjust the keystone settings, but i'd advise not adjusting it if possible.

Surely the projector can be angled sligtly up using the ceiling mount?

You can, but the bottom of your screen will look narrower than the top without adjusting the keystone settings. It would've been nice if the projector came with an auto keystone and lens shift feature...

Yeh... I'll have a look tonight... if its too low I'll get another bracket closer to the ceiling, or see if this one can be modified to be closer.

Other wise I'll just assemble it in the roof and pass the pipe through the ceiling.
