How can we improve MyBroadband?

Does not make sense, why do you want to split the comment from the core and casual users?

Because comments ≠ conversation.
The idea being that if people want to have a proper discussion - join the forum. What I post here I post for other people on the forum, not for the whole world. There's too much here (relationships with other people, in-house jokes) that aren't suitable for article comments.

I hate it, I do not want to constantly switch between the two.

Maybe they can post the comment from the articles on the forums.

You could start having a dummies guide to network frequencies as well, so people understand why there is this huge fiasco with the radio frequencies, etc.
You could also have a thread where people make suggestions and/or can also write articles themselves, just post them on the site if you find them good and relevant and maybe reward them with a small percentage of the add revenue for the article. It would give you more unique content and attract more readers.
The Raspberry pi set-up guide and stuff could all be done easily by users on this forum. Another interesting article would be e.g. asking Gtxgaming for how he is setting up his Intel Xeon for gaming and get someone else who has a high-end i7 and someone with a low-end i3 to compete with it, then write up the comparison with what you'd go for in the end due to budget etc.

It's all easy stuff to implement.

And +1 to proof reading. Just get MickeyD/one of the mods/some volunteers to do so if you can't spare the staff/are too lazy.

But you don't need to. Just the fact you are here means you can pretend the comments on the articles don't exist and just join the forum conversation.

The comments under the articles are usually trolls or one off posters anyway. It's not where you go for discourse.

Well the reward would be either small add revenue percentage/MyBB could help fund some of the electronics/people like to brag about their new stuff.

I almost missed this and really like the idea. Would a great way to get good range of original content on the site. Back when I used to write for NAG online we got paid per word. Could work on something like that. Especially when there's a slow news day and you need something to post on the site.

I want to read the comment from the articles, that is why it would be nice for me if they are all in one place.

Would be cool if they extended an invitation to forum members to write the occasional article. Nice way to get unique & interesting content from people with experience / interest in the field.

And with guest writers they don't need to worry about negative articles reflecting badly on them.
 
Come clear about your affiliation with OpenWeb and Chuck it. Maybe then mybb will gain trust again as a need source when ever I send someone a mybb link the first thing they say is oh yea it's the OpenWeb guys rights?, nah don't trust that shiat.

I kid you not.
 
Why no YouTube videos still? Like LinusTechTips with real reviews/tips. If you started properly extra ad revenue from YouTube and a bigger following, posting regular articles only is easy
