How do I block someone from my emails etc

My ex fiancee comes from a computer background. Always a plus until we broke up and he has become a bit of a stalker, extremely verbally abusive to me and my family, harassing me and them constantly via email.

I am also quite sure he recently got into my facebook and changed passwords, and deleted / blocked friends etc.

Unfortunately he knows a lot of my passwords to various accounts etc, and I am trying to change these as fast as I can.

I have several emails addresses, all feeding into my outlook, and although I have tried to block him, he still manages to get through and is laughing at my attempts.

Below is a comparatively mild example of an email from him (received today).

If I wanted to delete your face book profile, and wipe you off the internet I would have done it long ago, and still can. JavaScript insertion attacks . You a fat, bloated, self fulfilled buffoon!

This as said is mild by comparison and positively complimentary compared to some of his rants and tirades against me but the implied threat worries me. I am a complete layman when it comes to computers and the internet, and totally at his mercy.

My family are about ready to go to the police and lay charges and get a restraining order etc, but out of respect for his parents etc, who are truly amazing people and also suffering from this mental crisis of his, I would rather not go this route.

I really do not wish him any harm either, he was too important in my life for too long and I really wish him well!

I just want to move on with my life, and of course I would like to try and block him from bothering me via email or interfering in any way over the internet.

I have vodamail, sentech and gmail email addresses, as said all feeding into my outlook.

Can anyone advise me on how to block internet communication from him?

I admit to being scared and am getting rather desperate. :confused:
 
You can add a rule in outlook to automatically bin any messages from him. Just right click on a message from him and say add rule.
 
What client are you using to retrieve your email? Some will allow you to create a rule to block email from a certain address. The problem being if he realises this he can just send emails from another address.

I use Outlook. I receive mail from all my accounts into Outlook. I have tried blocking his email address (webmail addie) but his emails still seem to come through despite ths. I have now added a rule to bin all emails from him, but would still like to be able to block him completely.

I wonder if this is because the actual accounts are internet based and retrievable over the internet as well?

Is it possible to ask Sentech and Vodamail to block this email address for me? Or for me to actually log into these accounts via the internet to block him?

Like this and have created the rule.

Am a little bit apprehensive about him taking offense and taking it out on me though. I just do not want to be linked to him anyway. He has taken on organized religion too namely Christians (me) and Muslims and in one of his rants said to me that they were out to get him! ... I do not want to come under fire in any little wars he has going!

He will probably just create new mail accounts to send from

When you change a password on something like Gmail be sure to change the personal question to retreive the password, cos he probably knows your answers to those so would be able to get your password that way

He could be reading all of this right now...

He is not coming through via my gmail accounts just via sentech and vodamail, and seemingly ony from his webmail account.

Is there any way I can ask vodamail and sentech to block him from my email addies?
 
Why not inform webmail that he is sending you threats via email. I'm sure they will suspend his account if you can forward them a copy of his emails (with original headers).

If he is such a noob as he sounds, his webmail account will probably be his primary email account and then he'll be screwed, lol

Hey maybe that's not such a bad idea.... Tell me, this "javascript thingie he threatens, what is it and d I need to be concerned?
 
Go to a lawyer and then to the cops.

Chances are he has your email passwords, all of those you have not changed. So he can probably check the emails via webmail before they his your outlook inbox. Make sure to change your Sentech and Vodacom passwords. All of them, including your email. Phone their help desks.

Have those changed by the ISP.. make sure they are changed in facebook. Make sure your system is clean and does not have a trojan or backdoor software (like VNC).

Perhaps create a new gmail account and make that the email account holder for all your passwords and registrations. A brand new one he has no access to.

Again, go see a lawyer, go to the police.
 
I dont get people, go and get a restraining order and open a case of intimidation, when the cops rock up to arrest him at work, it wont be so funny anymore.
You dont need a lawyer that will cost thousands, go to Randburg court if you live near there and get the order then go open a case or open the case first

LOL oh please, if he had the skillz that he claims to have then he wouldn't need to threaten. Just download Firefox and install one of the many add-ons that disables scripting. If it's a website that you trust then there'll be an option to enable scripting for that site. But it will block all scripts by default.
 
Facebook and companies like that are most likely able to prove that he is the person behind the illegal use of your accounts. They respond to lawyers and police requests.
 
I do use firefox will look at installing the add on that blocks scripting .... as said I would prefer not to have to get a restrainng order / get the police involved out of respect for his folks with whom he lives.

I have changed all my passwords .... How do I check for trojan or backdoor software?
