How do I tell people that...

Dude, your advice sucks, and has nothing to do with helping him coming out to his friends and family

Mistakes?
get outta here mate, seriously - this thread is not for you.

I wasn't insinuating the OP is making a mistake with coming out. So don't bash my good intentions please. I'm speaking of life as a whole in context that DJ... remembers my failures.

My posts cause conflict because my beliefs conflict with the rest. I don't believe a person is born gay, but if others believe it then it's fine. Their conscience isn't my conscience. I can't say a person can't be a vegan if they choose to. They can. I can't say the OP shouldn't be gay, he can, it's his choice.

I only highlighted my conscience, which in my mind says the "reason" men find other men for partners stem from intimacy.

IMHO a man is a really intimate being, almost more than a female. I have to ask my GF at times to leave the rough stuff until later and love me a bit :D ;) :p

You have absolutely no idea how each and every single one of those paragraphs makes me cringe. But that's for another few threads. Let's leave this one for the OP to discuss coming out.

How do you reckon he should do it, Tera? How would you do it? Or how would you want your kids to do it at least? Hypothetically speaking, of course...

I was going to leave you alone after pulling your leg in my last post directed at you....but I simply HATE straight people that are so presumptious to think that they KNOW that being gay is a choice. You are not gay so you cant know it is a choice...and clearly the word of gay people telling you it is not a choice aint good enough for you.

On one hand I think you should leave it till you're done with Matric, you need to concentrate on this year and make sure to do as well as possible without any possible intereferences from childish homphobes.

On the other I think if coming out is going to distract you the entire year you're not going to do as well as you can.

The one situation you already know how you feel and whether you can deal with it or not, the other the consequences are unknown and you have no idea if you can deal with it.

I would personally leave it till the end of the year, but also I'm straight and I have no idea how this can affect you. So I guess all I can say is goodluck.

He choses to be straight so clearly he digs men but prefers woman just a little more :P

^ this!

I'm straight and have some gay friends - great Adventure bike riding guys, but when somebody says being gay is a choice, it makes me cringe.... I suppose they say so, because God would not make something he disapproves of or something stupid like that

I reckon he needs to speak to someone, possibly a school counsellor, let his parents and a third party sit down and then let them know that he is gay.

I would prefer if my children would trust me and my wife enough to discuss it without fear with us.

What word would be better suited, since I didn't intend on causing cringing or hate? Just being gay? The OP can just be gay, I can't force him to believe it's a choice or not.

OP I have no advise but good luck. I can't wait till we get to a point where coming out is no longer an issue for anyone.

@Tera the dude didn't ask for advise on deciding on whether or not he's gay. You're entitled to your opinions but offering them when they haven't been asked for is condescending and arrogant.

Trust me...if you know you gay..then you know. I too knew from a very early age. Now stop brain washing our new recruits! TSEK!

:p

Does this mean there are 2 more cheeks I can squeeze & then watch them run away????

:p

And rude. I apologize Nick333 and the rest of the members, I was thinking about this issue for the past week and I guess I thought too loud. I'm sorry.

Since you're fine with offering advice that hasn't been asked for and making judgements you can't possibly be qualified to make, why don't you just shut up?

Dunno...the poor thing got enough on his plate right now without potential fag hags trying to squeese his @ss in cyber space! :p

I is not a fag hag.

It's just fun to tease you :p

@OP, don't stress about me. I could not care what your preference is. I do think that you have some doubts in yourself regarding this so maybe waiting for after school might be better. There is after all probably only 7 months of the current school year left.

@OP, my stance on homosexuality is quite similar to that of mr. teraside. However, "coming out" is something that you are going to do in any event. Therefor your timing should be good (considering your age) and I agree that you should first finish school and jump the closet in university.

When it comes to your parents, choose a nice calm setting. Reassure them of YOUR love for them and let the chips fall where they may. Good luck dude!

hehe...of course I know you teasing :-)

Now come and put your index finger in my crack and let Ockie show you how to break a finger using only your @ss cheecks. :p

Regarding the bolded word. Urg...do you want me to go militant on your boobs? I hate it when people say choice or sexual preferance...it is a orientation! I havea preference for a type of cheese...not the sex i sleep with.

Ok...love you long time. mwha.

 does that mean I can take the OP and change his orientation by 180degrees and make him walk on his head? :D.

I don't think there is actually a word for this orientation/preference. People are either mono sexual or hetro sexual, with a few in between who think a shag is a shag. whichever way it goes each of us are born the way we are :)

imagine if we all thought the same & agreed on everything? boring?

mwha :p

Thanks for your concern :) I know for sure, I'm not physically or mentally attracted to a female. I can tell you that for sure :P

Not even when you see tits n ass?
Funny joke:
Breasts are proof that men can focus on two things at once :)
