My friend bought a 60GB pre-paid promotional bundle yesterday afternoon from Cell-C Canal Walk. The salesperson there told him the promotion ends 2011/01/31 and showed him a pamphlet stating this. Has anyone bought one this month?

So it turns out my friend was lied to about the promotion ending and lied to about the impending price increase. He is not impressed. He will be telling Trevor.

i've asked myself this question too. but if you look at the adverts, it says 'while stocks last'

also, when i asked the guys at cell c and matrix neither knew anything about end of promotion date. i can only assume that this price will stick for a little while longer.
best to get it asap thought if you want it

Remember the uptake on modems have phenomenal majority of retails I went to over the weekend had no stock.... A shortage of modems was suppose to get a free complementary modem already begin of Jan, but they only managed to dispatch the modem on 1st of February....

I assuming 1 of 2 things, CellC are selling us the bandwidth at cost and generating funds faster to pay of debit they owe...

Let this promotion stay until 2013 I will be happy if they can actually keep the promotion running for another 2years

Damm right!, it going to be like all mobile operators on a new years eve... no signal...sms's coming through a few days later.... perhaps if you wait around a day or two you might be able to access the web pages you were trying to access the next day...

its like overselling vps or webspace, soon will get too full and speeds will suffer, but right now there network is broke - disconnect issue still unresolved

Woosh promo ending soon!

So the woosh promo is coming to an end at the end of March according the the guy at the Clearwater Mall Cellc store. He could not tell me if there would be a new promotion after that or anything for that matter. Does anybody know if there will be a repeat of the Woosh promo's or perhaps something better on the horizon?

Cell C Whooosh specials ending today

So ive been told at the Cell C store that the promotinal specials are ending today.

Anyone have news on the new specials? Will it be better or comparrable to the current one?

The specials are definitely not ending today. I spoke to a lady @ the call centre, and according to her the deals were supposed to end today but Cell C have confirmed that they will continue to offer these promotions until further notice.

That is strange, because a family member went to a Cell C store and they insisted that he sign up before end of Feb as the promotion was coming to an end and that he would not be able to get it come 1st of March.

Methinks some communication to the stores is in order.

I don't think it's a communication problem, I think it's the sales people trying to push the sale.
