How long will the current data promotion still be available?

CellC SmartData bundles out of stock everytwhere. Special ends this month. What to do?

Wanted to get the R149pm data bundles special.
I went to 3 cell C stores. Clearwater, Cresta + Northgate. All are out of stock of sticks and will only get stock next month when the special would have ended.

From the website:
http://www.cellc.co.za/internet/dat...-promotion-supersonic-surfing-for-only-r149pm. While stocks last. Dammit.

Seeing that Vodacom and MTN hasn't responded to the special CellC can increase the price 100% next month and still have the cheapest offering. :(

I called a number of CellC stores and none had the data sim promo. Finally tracked some down at Westgate branch yesterday.

A number of the stores said they hadn't received stock lately (but I really don't think these stores know what's going on most of the time, so I'm disinclined to believe anything they say).

Phoned yesterday afternoon and found one at Fourways. Went to pick it up this morning and they are also out of stock now. Good thing I reserved mine.

So any news on whether the special is coming to an end on Thursday the 31st?

I think its better if this promotion finishes as Cell C cannot delivery, like all the other companies in SA, empty promises and a non existent help center

Has the cell c prepaid 2gb datasim promotion come to an end.??

Has the cell c prepaid 2gb datasim promotion come to an end.??
I have contacted all the known outlets for the cell c 2gb datasim only promotion in East London and none have stock. They were also kind enough to contact the head office in East London and they say they have none and do not know when to expect them.
This firstly makes no sense to me. The week that MTN and Vodacom announce their " ?competitive" products cell c stops theirs or that is the impression I get.
Is there any way one can buy these online line if they are still available.
I have bought about 10 of these so far for myself and colleagues and friends and they work really well so I hope cell c is not stopping this promotion at this critical time.

Lots of stock available in witbank if you keen :) Ask them to courier down u a sim card :) Was shocked they had over 300 modems of each. I am going to see if I can find a data sim card

The "Whoosh Promotion" is still running. We will definitely share any news of the promotion ending when the day comes...DM
If it is still running how do we get the datasims in East London. Would make most sense if the promotion is still going to have stock particularly now that vodacom and mtn are offering similar deals.

I bought the prepaid R1499 datasim last week from Game in Canal Walk, CT. They had plenty of stock. Looks like some places don't keep a large amount of stock on hand and it gets sold real quick.

One can get the datasim with modem in East London but not the data sim on its own ?

Pretty sure they are two separate packages. The R1499 deal came packaged with modem and sim all wrapped up nicely in a small box. The stores won't take out the sim and sell it to you separately as the package would be ruined and they then have a modem laying around which they won't be able to repackage and sell. (unless CellC buys it back from them)

Yes they are 2 different packages. I am specifically looking for the prepaid datasim only.
One would think one could just load the databundle onto a normal sim if the package option is not available but no luck.

I wonder if anyone from cell c would be interested in making a comment as to whether one can still buy prepaid 2Gb datasims.
I have tried all the places I know of in East London who sell cell c but none are available. They all say they have no stock and none are on order so they do not expect them anytime soon. Even tried the head office on 0437047700 but the phone just rings with no answer.
This is amazing. Either cell c are so sure of their sales or do not want any more people on their network or they do not realise there are 2 competitive products released last week from Vodacom and MTN.
Can one buy online at all or is there any chance of buying a prepaid sim and loading this promotional bundle on it.

PM the CellC rep. They will probably deliver the sims to your door.

Thanks have done this. He will cc to the nearest outlet for me I understand.
I am just amazed that they appear to not want to sell their product. They have by far the best deal in my opinion if one gets medium to good hspa signal but they do not have product available.

We have received notice from our Internet Solutions account manager that from the end of May the promotion from Cell C will come to an end. Stock on hand can still be activated for 3 months after (up to August).

Not sure if this affects the consumer market.
