I'm a home user and I use 33gig local and 54gig international bandwidth on average per month AND IT IS STILL NOT ENOUGH
Okay so I know im wrong and bla bla bla..
But what are you using all of that bandwidth on? Im asuming its almost all downloading with about 5-10gigs for surfing and email etc, unless you happen to do something "special" with alot of your bandwidth. Id say this almost without a doubt because you are a home user and use 33gigs on local, so what can that be, all of those live local TV streams? I'm guessing its just local torrents or DC++ downloading.
Now theres nothing wrong with that, and I'd do it too if I had the bandwidth. But how its not enough I dont know, how much harddrive space do you have? If you keep that up for a 3-4 months (assuming its mostly downloading) you would have to buy a new 250GB hardrive costing probably as much as your internet.
And if all you are doing is download tons and tons of music and video which you will hardly even listen to or watch all of, it just doesnt seem like much of a crisis, for some people maby it is, and of course for business. But most home use that exceeds 30-50GB is just downloading of series's and movies. Its nothing crucial to the country or even to those people's lives.
Sorry, just ranting about the people who are on here complaining like hell and all they want bandwidth for is to download the latest Anime or Smallville/Lost season or something.
Never less than about 60 GIGs. Went as high as 170 GIGs one month![]()
I don't want to vote because I don't want to add to Telkom's view that 3GB is enough.
So far Telkom seems to be lying when they say people don't need more than 3Gigs... ATM only around 7% of forumites use less than 3Gig.
how do you use so much? uncapped?
