That's why I only have 1 car (fully paid) no kids and a house of 1.1m.Just to survive, be able to afford a house, 2 Cars and send kids to school one should at least be earning over R 20k per month and then have a spouse salary also. A combined salary take home of over R 25k or your fk'd
Sad aint it
In my case things got worse when my wife decided to start her PhD... so
Mmm, I also think these figures are way way too low. We hire based only on experience, diploma's and even degree's means absolutely *****. A guy with 2 years exp should earn no less than 20k. Depending on language maybe even more.
My 2c anyway.

However this is what bugs me: Most respondants seem to gross between 15k and 30k. Even if you nett 30k how can you afford : a car, a house, life insurance, retirement annuity, house insurance, car insurance, municipal costs, petrol, internet, cellphone, groceries, electricity..... it is impossible !![]()
So would your company hire somebody with no experience but at a lower rate?
Depends on some variable. Job description/Personality/etc. but yes it is possible.
And to think you need at least a minimum combined income of 35K a month to qualify for a home loan of 1.0m :'(
