How streaming is killing linear TV

Because they can rather spend the resources on rolling out LTE and fibre, which are superior technologies. They know that by increasing LTE coverage they can serve far more people a far better service than upgrading an old exchange.
But I can more value with DSL in terms of data, than what I would get on LTE. Fibre yes, LTE no..

I connect significantly faster and more reliably than any ADSL connection.

The only time I have ever run out of data was the first month of my LTE connection where I didn't know what to do with myself after having 3 months with only my cellphone internet.

For what I use the connection for, 200GB +200Gb at night is more than enough.

200 gigs is too little for me and my family. We are 4 streamers plus a gamer as well. I also do some work at home etc. Data is important to me, hence dsl is stil perfect for our needs

200GB is hardly anything anymore :-( I mean I do that without even blinking

It's Calvo(staffwriter) writing articles again, doom and gloom, btw what is Amazon like now? I remember trying it a while ago but many shows were unavailable.

I registered on Amazon for GT season 2. Deregistered after as I couldn't really find anything worthwhile to watch. Registered again now for season 3 and there is now quite a lot more series and movies available. So I cancelled netflix for now in favour of Amazon. I will decide after season 3 of GT if it's worth keeping over netflix, and netflix has become boring as I've already watched everything that I liked.

Netflix own movies is worth the subscription alone... They have some really good stuff. Amazon own shows are also good, but prefer Netflix. Also Netflix organisation in terms of how they categorise things are much better than Amazon Prime app

Netflix has some very good shows as well.

A new gem that I love is Tidying up with Marie Kondo.

That's true, even my 5 yo can navigate netflix all on his own. My netflix subscription expires on the 16th of January. I'll see after GT season 3 if it's worth changing back to netflix again, or maybe just subscribe to both. But we don't really watch enough tv to justify subscribing to both.

The biggest problem with DSTV and why the fee is so high is because of sport, if they didn't have to pay millions for the rights to sports the premium would be a lot cheaper. That's the bulk of the fee right there.
No, I don't buy that. There are many other countries with similar statellite packages at a fraction of the cost. Why does DSTV have to cost 3 times as much?

Well you don't have to buy it, because that's where the bulk of the DSTV cost comes from. You're forgetting that we are in the arse end of the world and for some reason the people here want the best of the best, without the best currency or the buying power to do so.
Also are you relying on second hand sources for your pricing?

Which ISP has 200GB + 200GB LTE?
