How to cut out sugar?

Wheatbix & cereals are carbohydrates, they break down to sugar as well, so do you really want to give up all sugar? Or just empty sugar calories?
Yeah. I have nothing against carbs. Just want to avoid sugars.

Eggs and cold meat cuts for breakfast.
Too complex, expensive and maybe a bit too salty too.

You can't cut sugar without cutting all all hi glycemic carbs. So no bread, rice , cereals etc.
I have no problem with cutting those. I don't even like bread. Wheat-bix however has very low sugar levels.

Maybe try xylitol as a replacement?
I don't use sugar in anything. So this isn't a problem for me.

I'm also not looking to lose weight, as I'm 66kg. This is mostly to improve my health - not the size of my belly. The most difficult thing for me would be to drop Coke (of which I consume roughly 1 litre a day) - but ultimately I'll have to get over my addiction.

I do add honey to double cream greek yogurt when I have it.

Avoid things that come in boxes or plastic tubs. They're almost always filled with sugar, and definitely not what you need to live on. Bacon and eggs is the king of breakfast, but if it's not convenient then I'd rather go for real fruit than fruity yoghurt.

You don't need to eliminate carbs, just most types of sugar. Keep chocolate for the weekends and have a maximum of 50g of chocolate per weekend day. Nothing sweet during the week.

I also don't recommend artificial sweeteners. One, there are still questions about whether they are good for you in the long run. Two, you need your taste buds to get used to the idea that not everything has to be sweet. If you just replace sugar with artificial sweeteners, its more difficult to avoid cravings for sweet things.

Do the following:
Stop adding sugar to tea and coffee. Switch to rooibos if you have to, which tastes decent even unsweetened
Have some form of high fiber cereal for breakfast. I use Bokomo Bran Flakes, which had the lowest sugar and highest fiber out of all of them. Do not add sugar to it! It tastes like cardboard, but you get used to it.
Have a sandwich for lunch - must be on low gi whole wheat bread. Either that, or salad or something similar.
Eat whatever you normally eat for supper, but watch your portion sizes. Also no snacks - no biscuits, no rusks, no chocolate, no donuts. Only on the weekend and in limited amounts.

EDIT: Wow, drop the coke immediately! Replace it with soda water if you have to have something fizzy and cold.

Why on earth would you want to eat something that tastes like cardboard for breakfast? Never mind the fact that there are almost 49grams of carbohydrate per 100grams which are metabolized straight to sugar!

Bacon and eggs has zero grams of sugar/carbs and tastes wonderful!

And is expensive and a mission to prepare every morning.

A suggestion for a healthier chocolate:

Le Chocolatier dark chocolate slabs:

It's just cocoa that's been tempered a number of time. Nothing else added. Tastes sweet like regular chocolate.

And not a mission at all.
A decent blender with which to make some fruit/veg/nut/seed etc. smoothies in the morning is also not a mission at all. Prep & cleaning up is quick

Bacon and eggs? Can be expensive, still better than the junk that's in most cereals. And not a mission at all.

Yeah eggs work out a little more than twice the cost of bran flakes per calorie, but I don't find it a mission either. If you are going to eat bran flakes that taste like cardboard, you should also eat the cardboard box, it's probably more nutritious and will make your meal even cheaper.

Yep, real food & and it's lower in sugar than the cereal.

Because I can get it ready in a few seconds? Besides, I'm not trying to go zero carbs, I'm trying to drastically reduce my carbs, which I have.

I also think it is important to realize that not everything you eat needs to taste amazing. Sometimes food can just be to sustain you. These days, people only eat food if it is super amazing in terms of taste. Its like we refuse to eat anything that doesnt cause instant orgasms. Why?

Its okay for food to be bland!

I agree with this to an extent. I want everything to taste amazing, because the more it does, the more inclined I am to stay on LCHF long-term. I don't mind if one or two meals are just for sustenance and are a bit on the drab side, but I remember days of steamed veg and grilled, tasteless chicken breasts.

Never again.

Smoothies are full of sugar...

But then you add butter to that bitch and dang...

See, no excuse for bland food. Simple food can be so good. Even scrambled eggs with butter just gives it a completely different taste
