Easy ways to move up to eBucks Level 5

FNB Premier customers do not have to burn a hole in their pocket, take out numerous home loans, or invest hundreds of thousands of rand to maximise their earning potential on the bank's eBucks rewards programme.

Banking customers often complain that these types of requirements to make a rewards programme worthwhile exceed its potential benefits.
 
On Premier, you have to spend R10k to optimise your earn. So yeah, you do need R10k a month to mess around with.
 
Some the stuff you have to do is really just jumping through hoops to get to a higher level - e.g. view track my rewards once a month, go search for a house once a quarter etc. And I get why some people would just avoid this all together and get on with their lives.

For those who feel there is a benefit, doing these things can help, higher rewards means higher ebucks earn rate. While a lot of benefits have been dropped, ebucks is still cash back. For me R1000 worth of ebucks per month is worth the hassle. Also just saved myself approx R3.5k booking some flights for my family - should get some additional saving when booking the car hire.

eBucks pays for my lotto tickets basically..

So when I do win the lotto, it might be the best ROI ever :P

They have paid for my electricity, petrol, things on takealot. I'm happy and generally I'm on level 5 with not much effort.

I'm a lazy twat mostly and hover between Level 3 and Level 4 because I don't do half the things FNB wants me to do. Generally covers my banking fee comfortably every month plus a few lotto tickets for when the draw gets worthwhile...
 
Clicks hasn't dropped them. I actually just bought something over the weekend with ebucks.

I'd say of all my rewards programs, ebucks gives me the most money back.

Only thing I'm bummed about was finding a cap on fuel on fuel spend, but I can deal with that.

Agree spending partners is limited.

I use mine for my prepaid electricity for the month at my holiday home, airtime for my family (wife & kids) and online food purchases for the pets.
 
I was a feverish level 5 fiend..... Always trying to ensure maximum rewards each month..

But now, I can't be bothered...ever since they persistently moved the goal posts to achieve and maintain a particular level I lost interest.... also the decline in the discount feature and participants, it became all too meh!!!
