How to (start to) eat fish

Update: Had a hake burger from Fishaways. Actually tastes quite delicious, but my mind kept going "you're eating fish". Seriously had to think of other things whilst I ate it.

That's the bit that will take some effort, but you've taken the first step to enlightenment now.

Head over to ocean basket and try Sole, very nice and tasty.

PS: Get a 8pc of Salmon Californian Rolls while you are there, epic meal.

Also try some Golden Smackeroos & Fish Fingers.

I love these things and eat them quite often, rather oven bake until crispy on outside than fry them tough.

We are trying to wean him into eating fish, not shock his constitution :D

i wish someone would bring me perlemoen and scallops to try ...crab i have never ate though and dont want to try

My father had a perlemoen licence a number of years back. As a kid I was lucky enough to eat it quite regularly. You have to slice it up like polony and hammer the crap out of it and then fry it up with some garlic butter and little lemon. It has a very unique taste, but its definitely my favourite seafood.

I was lucky enough to try smoked marlin the other day. It had a very subtle fishy taste to it but nothing really special. IMO rather over-rated.

So, all my life I've avoided eating fish. No reason why, I am not allergic.

I can only put it down to a bad experience with a fishbone or seeing my Dad gutting fish open when I was very young, but I literally gag when I eat fish. I vomit if I try eat Sushi.

I can, however, eat fishfingers with no problems. And I currently try eat crumbed hake, of the frozen I&J variety, but even then I drown it in tomato sauce to disguise the fishy taste.

I feel like I am missing out. I don't know my salmon from sole, nor cape salmon from norwegian salmon ;)

What is the best way I can get into eating fish? I figured I should go to a restuarant and order the best fish, expertly prepared and with the right sauces etc. Or is there a better way to do this?

Let's not get started on those cockroaches called prawns yet :/

Perhaps try some crumbed fish. I had crumbed Haddock last night and it was great. Try it with some salad or potato wedge.

Once you are comfortable eating crumbed fish, try hake medallions or a normal piece of hake (hake is a very "mild" fish), from there on go bonkers and try all the other types /species of fish out there.

Do you eat prawns / Lobster / Oysters / Calamari?

I started eating crumbed hake a few months ago, but I really avoid it. And when I do eat it, I smother it in tomato sauce. That disguises the taste and I have to still think of other things while eating it. If I find a bone - I can't carry on eating, and I have to fight back the hurl :(

The hake burger last night was the most extreme thing I've done. Looking back, I can say I enjoyed it but it's a mission.

Even if I ate fish regularly, I doubt I could eat sea-roaches :)

So I should rather drop the gun and carry a fish around in BF4 to get you on your knees :p

Most people eat fish with a lot of sauce (lemon herb, tar tar, creamy garlic etc etc) so there is nothing wrong with it.

If the problem is the idea of finding a some bones in your dinner then try seared tuna steaks or haddock.

You are missing out :p
