Be grateful if someone that is clued on printers could provide some insight into the different HP colour laser models.

I already have a SAMSUNG C410 colour laser which is set up and working OK
I also have an old HP Laserjet4050N ( black only ) that was put together with lots of "spare-parts"

The HP has the control panel and buttons where you can set everything up manually.
It is only 10/100 and does not have WiFi etc etc
The HP is very easy to set up ( connect over the network to my print server )
The SAMSUNG must be set up in software ( YUK )

I guess I am looking for an HP single mode ( NO fancy scanning fax copying etc etc ) colour laser that also has the control panel and manual setup but also with USB , Gig Ethernet and WiFi

A quick Google shows me the Colour LaserJet Pro M452nw which looks promising ( does it have a proper button menu setup ? )

I am quite happy with a reman / refurb but just need to know the model / models to look out for.

Any suggestions welcome

Lucky Packet

I have one and works great. I looking for another one for a friend.
How good are you at -- assembling lots of "spare parts"
I know of a couple but they are all in different stages of -- unserviceable.
I know someone that is good at -- "jigsaw-puzzles" so that helps me a bit -- takes time and I have to use patience :)

Wonderful printers though -- when HP was still HP

I am positive about my abilities, patience and have lot of time. :)

Wonderful printer range, I agree. 4000 series introduced a new engine with long durability of components and resolution jumped to real 1200dpi (still a bechmark in upper printers range).

Strange handle for printer business
Sure it is not something else ?
Once bitten always smitten

It is not the name of my business, but how people refer to me here.... ;)

while I don't mind assisting with advise where I can, I am not a registered dealer (with mybb, don't pay them) so the name of my business is kept out of here.

What you firstly need to look at is how much printing/scanning the unit will do in a month.

try avoid units with replacable drums.
drums are expensive.

if you print a lot the printer must be stronger, and by implication more costly, though there are exceptions.

Hi there ,
Thanks for the replies
I had another look at the Colour LaserJet Pro M452nw
Pretty much what I am after -- except -- THE PRICE !
What do you think of this printer ?

I do not print much atm but still like to have good equipment.

I installed the HP Universal Printer driver on my Windows Server and now have printing to all my machines ( 7 and up 32 and 64 )
SO
Why do I want another printer ?
Because I like HP :) ( for Printers )
and
I am a gadget addict :D
Please feel free to drop me a mail on the PM ( seeing as you do not want to disclose company info here )

I have exactly that one (M452nw), bought direct from Tarsus. It's pretty awesome so far - has airprint which makes life very easy for the wife, quick and easy to setup etc etc.

I also did a lot of research, asked the pro's, before settling on that one.

Please could you PM me what you paid for it ( so that we do not embarrass anyone here :) )
[I have checked all the normal SA price compare site]
