I am looking for recommendations for a office laser printer with bang for buck. Normally about 500 pages/month but also need to do about 24000 pages for an annual run over a week - and this cannot be outsourced. So the 24K could be done as 5000/day workload.
Our 5 year old Canon i-SENSYS LBP252dw has a damaged fuser or something, and has had a lifetime of over 80k prints and with compatible toner it was under 12c/page. Spending big $ on a workhorse will give a decent return only if we needed to do a lot of prints. So looking for something around 5K supporting compatibles for a running cost of 10-15c/page, including Wifi support. NOT a multifunction device.
I have no experience with ink based printers and would not want any risk of smudging.
