HP ProLiant MicroServer

I wonder if anyone knows a trick or workaround for this. I have windows 7 on a microserver with a GT210 graphics card and I've got teamviewer installed. The hdmi goes to my avr and then to my tv. When my tv is on the screen res is 1920x1080 but when I switch off the TV the graphics drivers detect there is "nothing" there and reverts the desktop to a really low resolution and won't output sound on hdmi.

Now you may wonder why this matters since the TV is off. For the sound thing I can still use Yatse to get XBMC to play music. For the desktop resolution I like to use vnc or teamviewer for control. Remote desktop will change the resolution to whatever I want but it logs out the XBMC user which means having to get the keyboard etc to log in again.

Is there a way I can firstly force a resolution when no device is detected? Anything I can do to output audio anyway?

Phoned around yesterday to try and see who has stock on these. Surprisingly, there are a bunch arriving within the next week or two. A lot of the distributors and suppliers got stock all of a sudden. Wonder why Esquire didn't bring in more of them?

Arriving at which disti?

Gooood afternoon !

Hope someone has experienced this before.
Installed Openelec 3.2.4 last night on my HPM$
Issue ? There is no service add-on for SabnzbdSuite ??
Even force checked for updates :'(

That is the great thing about MyBroadband, someone will always have an answer or assist. Now pick up your balls & enjoy your media server ;)

P.S. I love my HP Media Server & OpenElec

Got mine at Wootware last weekend, they had a few in stock. My E350 micro machine sold very quickly, seems there is a big demand for these ITX based micro computers.

How is the performance on these N54L for x265 encodes? I know NO GPU decoding support yet and CPU needed but my N40L is struggling so thinking to either upgrade to something for future proofing or hope that when GPU decoding support comes, it will work fine. What do you guys think :)?

Few 1080p "test" videos are out at around 11GB if anyone hasn't already tried. :D

Been reading up on x.265 on the XBMC forums and apparently it is far too early to be making any decisions in this respect. The guys who sound like they know what they're talking about reckon the sample videos can't really be used for comparison just yet.

Me? I know nothing...:D

I really wouldn't worry yet, I doubt that the CPU will be able to handle the x265 codec but that doesn't mean you need to chuck it, A gpu upgrade will most probably solve any issues.

The Radeon 4200 is a chipset based GPU, last time I had one was with a 6 core Phenom II and the GPU did very little. On newer APU chips that have Radeon 63xx and better GPU cores things are mich better. But all that is based on x264 decoding and encoding. Have not seen any x265 performance.
