Speed test to London
Down: 4434 Kbps
Up: 312 Kbps
7.2 Mbps speeds - is this correct??
I do not get over 3.6 at any other speed tests...may have been a glitch.
My speed results are on target using E272 with Mobile Partner 11.002.03.16.03 Software. I did subscribe to the "Free" 3.6kbps and renewed it when the R49 became payable.
My Speed results:
3100 kbps (387.5 KB/s Transfer Rate)
1145 kbps (143.1 KB/s Transfer Rate)
Ping: 114 Ms
I am pleased with the results and thank you Vodacom. Please maintain this speed please Vodacom.
Eh pardon the intrusion but what is Hsupa and where can I get it?did you ever subscribe to the 3.6 service? After the free period?

I too subscribed to the 3.6 service but apart from phoning and requesting the service I have heard nothing since so I wouldn't know if I am still provisioned for the service or not. My SP is Nashua mobile. Should I rather contact them for clarification?
High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (googled it). So is it available or experimental only?
Thank you
Carbon copy created@ ic, can we maybe move Anti's post to the speed results thread?
No...but I often get free speed test results above 1.8 Mbps...Could be. Just to confirm, did you ever subscribe to the 3.6 service? After the free period?
These are really good speeds indeed. Now for cheaper after hours bandwidth to get those *paid for* tv seriesMy speed results are on target using E272 with Mobile Partner 11.002.03.16.03 Software. I did subscribe to the "Free" 3.6kbps and renewed it when the R49 became payable.

Vodacom3g I would like to ask which of the cellphones are capable of 1.4 HSUPA.
The reason why I am asking is because I am due for an upgrade soon and I know that the Samsung G800 is capable of 7.2 HSDPA, but the question is, is it capable of 1.4 HSUPA?
I currently have the E220 and I am a 3.6 HSDPA subscriber so I thought that with this upgrade it might be my golden opportunity![]()
HSPA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-Speed_Packet_AccessAny suggestions for an abbreviation for HSDPA and HSUPA together? HSD+UPA?
The two existing standards (HSDPA and HSUPA) in the family provide increased performance by using improved modulation schemes and by refining the protocols by which handsets and base stations communicate. These improvements lead to a better utilization of the existing radio bandwidth provided by UMTS.
