Yep im signed in with my google acc i use chrome and FF and gives me same issue in both mind you that i can see my installed progs
and the first page of featured items but non of the categories work ... sigh!!!

and the sense thing is really really P!$$ing me off, when they gonna get that to work
 
Oh well ... I guess there are some teething issues ...

I installed apps when I did a search ... not from the categories ...

Same here. Wonder why it's working for some people....
 
just a note though this is the most amazing phone i've ever ever ever had!!! the phone is truly awesome ... just
google and HTC need to work out the issues with their supporting services.

That did not go well ... :) ... Still trying to figure out what I stuffed up ...

Just a quick FYI ...
I managed to do a restore ... and the phone is still working fine ...
Thank goodness that I do backups before I mess with it ...

I suspect that android still have some issues with 32G microSD cards ...

Google is still sorting out the web based Android market, just give it a bit of time......

No excuse for HTC's Sense web site - they launched it a while back, so one would think it should be working 100% now. NOT!
 
Anyone know if there is a way to trick market for us to install google books.

Looking for an alternative to Reader for Android.

It is possible but you have to root your phone to do it ...
and you can't buy books from the google ebookstore (only for the US ... we are not worthy) ...
you can get the free classics though

Ok, so I got tired of the crappy mail app & decided to run all my different mail accounts through Gmail - and now I get push email for all my accounts! :)

So here's what I did :

1. Opened up Gmail in my web browser and added my Hotmail and Vodamail accounts.
2. Deleted all the mail accounts from my Desire HD's Mail app and removed the icon from my home screen.
3. Downloaded the "Gmail Unread Count" widget from the Market and added the widget to my home screen (don't worry, it looks exactly like an icon and only you will know it's actually a widget). Now it will show a little red number with the amount of all unread Gmail & all other account messages.
4. Updated my Gmail app via the market, now it gives me the option to compose a new message from any of my mail accounts, not just my default Gmail account.

Done!

And it works a real treat. The nice thing is that you can use Gmail's SMTP servers to send your messages (which is lightning fast), but it still appears as if it was sent via your own mail account.

So now I FINALLY have a fantastic push mail system running on my Desire HD. :)

My DHD arrived this morning dead on schedule! (Kudos to 4U at Waterstone S/West) Battery now charging - getting ready to play!!

Been considering doing this for a while now. Maybe I just need to make the effort and dive in...

Yeah, I was also avoiding it, but got tired of slow mail delivery & mail app constantly checking the mail servers....and it's actually not a lot to do.

When you add your extra mail accounts in Gmail, it just needs your email address and password and does the rest for you.

Now that everything is working, it's really great & I'm a very happy camper.
