Found this Sense based ICS rom that works on DesireHD:

I'm about to try it now.
And how is it? I am keen to install it but it hasn't got great comments about its latest version, version 5.
Let me know... Am really keen to install it. Need a few good reviews, and if I get one from a South African user, I'd overwhelmed to install it.
Has anyone installed the JellyTime ROM on their DesireHD? Curious to know some local feedback about it.

Not an official Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM but does look promising.Currently enjoying Android 4.2.1, the Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM. My DHD is 2 years old next month and still going strong. Don't think I'll be upgrading now. Think I'll change my contract to pre-paid until I really need a upgrade and then I'll change service providers too (go Cell-C or MTN).
Best phone ever...

I monitored Jellytime but it was being updated too regularly and was managed by 1 guy so I decided to delay rooting my phone while waiting for a good ROM.Dude, I was on JellyTime for a few months now and moved over to this one last week and I tell you......not one problem. Excelent ROM.

I am waiting for the announcement for the new HTC M7, but yesterday I stumbled upon the Sony Xperia Z. Any thoughts?
Apart from the processor I think the new phones aren't that far ahead in spec and look and feel if you root your DHD. Manufacturers are also releasing new flagship model every 9 months and prices in SA can be insane e.g S3 so I don't feel the urge to change yet.Just for interest sake, people still using their Desire HD's (Like me).
