HTC DESIRE HD

an other thing, I don't think that the phone is to big at all. I fits well into a pocket, reason for that is that it is flatter on the edges like the old Iphones. In my opinion it is not feeling bigger than the Iphone 4 because of the round edges.

I read something funny in a forum overseas, a guy said its to big, and this cell with a 4,3 inch screen does not fit in his pans ... somebody replied "why you say that, in my pans easily 10 inch fit in which I carry around with me every day" ... lol
 
I just hope its better than the iPhone 4 - everyone is walking around with one at the office.

The paper work was done on the 1st and I picked mine up on the 4th ... no hassles ... I had been harassing them for the last month or so ... so I think that they just trying to get rid of me ...

I agree with pretty much everyone ... it sux ... :)
But having said that ... it sux cos you can't put the phone down ...
I haven't switched off the live wall papers and the brightness is at 60 %.
@ work I have the wifi running with automatic sync ...

I charge it every day and I carry the USB charger in my laptop bag for quick boosts.

The battery lasts me roughly 10 hours max ...
Past posts have mentioned being able to squeeze up to 2 days worth out of it.

I am happy to carry the charger around cos the eye candy and functionality is too cool to switch off.
 
What do you guys use to protect your screen? I just got mine and it has no cover on it :(

Not sure but just something interesting for you guys. I got my Samsung Galaxy Tab before my DHD and it also runs Android 2.2 and I have downloaded a fews apps for it. When I finally got my DHD I followed all the instructions to get it up and running yet nothing asked me about previous apps I had downloaded yet budda bing, budda boom the same ones I download on my tab amazingly got automatically downloaded to my phone! (is this phone awsum or what?) Im guessing then that some how andoird backs up your apps automatically or at least keeps track of the ones you have downloaded.

Last but not least....jeez ppl bitch about small things! I've read soooo many reviews that bitch about the power button and how its hard to press yet there is nothing wrong with it, its very easy to press! Plus the best part is it doesnt protrude so you can put it in a cradle without it pressing down on the power button. The screen looks amazing! who cars if its not super bright best in the world type, at the end of the day its still gorgeous and last (or i'll go on all night) If you careful with the phone ie: dont keep wifi, bluetooth, HSDPA gps etc on all day and have everything constantly updating then the battery is more then sufficient. If you want a phone that lasts a week then dont buy a damn 4.3 inch beast of a phone that does everything a computer does!:p

Ps- I can honestly say I feel so sorry for the apple fan boys as they are so brain washed and restricted. Like it or not alot of apple is about image. Dont get me wrong apple is awsum but dont sit there and try tell me its better then the DHD!!!:wtf:

Agree with you! I love the live wallpapers & other eye candy, but I also know that it drains battery power - so just charge it when you don't use it. Easy.

Totally agree. Some people still expect these powerful phones to have the same battery life as their old Nokio 6210s from 10 years ago, but at the same time it must have the same computing power as the Desire HD. Does it make sense?

The HTC Desire HD is by far the best mobile phone I have ever owned - it simply rocks!

*If you've been using a Desire HD & then pick up an iPhone, it feels like a little toy phone. :D

Dude, just take a little care & forget about the screen protector. My Desire is now about 6 months old & apart from giving it a dedicated pants pocket when out and about I haven't done anything special. Its screen is still pristine.

Remember these screens are actually glass, not the squishy, tacky plastic that resistive screens are covered by. Also, screen protectors on capacitive screens suck for the same reason that you can't use these phones wearing gloves - the screen needs the conductive nature of your skin to work.
 
Exactly Kingrob and yet ppl buy R30 000 gaming lap tops that last like only 45mins when playing high end games but they dont complain. Why should something that is 10 times smaller but almost a laptop itself then be expected to be any different. And man how cool are the weather animations! it was predicting storms in Durbs today and everytime I unlocked the phone I got lightnings trikes across the screen flashing away like crazy. I had to keep switching my phone on and off just see it again :) As everyone has said the biggest prob with the battery is that you cant stop playing with the damn phone.....too much of a good thing is a bad thing i guess ;)
