HTC DESIRE HD

Apparently the "new" firmware that was released recently has improved the battery life for quite a few people :) Here's hoping!
 
Hey guys, Im picking up the DHD tomorrow. Vodashop is holding it for me.

Since im an ex iPhone (great phone) and Blackberry (worst phone) user, is it a mission to buy and pay for apps like it is for some BB and iPhone apps?

Im bloody excited! I never want to see iTunes again!

Personally, most of the apps I want have been free although I did buy Titanium Backup (didn't pay for the paid version through the marketplace, though)

Yeah man, I can vouch for that....I HATE iTunes with a passion (and it was the first thing I uninstalled from my pc when I got my Desire HD).

You're in for a treat....with HTC Sync you just select which folders you want to copy to your phone and voila! it's done. Actually too easy, cos my 8GB SD card is almost filled up. Will get the 32GB one in the New Year.

Just make sure it's compatible. I've read of 1/2 people who bought 32gb cards that didn't work with the DHD.
 
Say I want to reinstall my phone back to its original DHD MTN image including SA map data. Where do I start?

Factory reset? I found it out the hard way when I wanted to change my default GMail account on my phone. The phone simply refused to do it & I had to do a factory reset. Eish.

Got a 300mb plan but I have wifi so it should last.

What is the complete 7? Does that include the router and your adsl line rental?

I'm with cybersmart on one of their 10GB packages. It all depends on your broadband needs.
 
Complete 7 includes the Telkom ADSL line rental but not the Telkom telephone line.

Anyways, lets try keep this thread on topic :) It is for the DHD afterall.

Everyone will be quite helpful in the other section of the forum
