Hi guys, I’m thinking of upgrading to the Desire HD from mu Nokia 5800, only thing that concerns me is the battery life. How long do you guys get on average on this phone. I know when you get it you can’t put it down and you drain the power quick, but after all the excitement settled, how long does it last on average?

I'm now getting about 36 hours, seems to be increasing though. Last week I could barely do 24 hours (phone's 3 weeks old).

Holy crap! Sounds like your phone is syncing non-stop, or you're playing Angry Birds or Gun Bros. non-stop.

Disable all that syncing and you'll start seeing a difference.

NOTHING is syncing, I control every little bit of the phones actions. I hardly play games, i just check my gmail and surf quite a lot.

Ok, it must be something else then.

Bring up your phone dialer & type : *#*#4636#*#*

It should bring up a testing menu, go to your "Usage statistics" and it will list the apps that are the most used on your phone.

There are other useful info too, maybe you can get some info from it.

You can also download an app called 'spare parts' and you can see all types of usages. Cool little app.

Sigh .. im still having an issue when i reboot my DHD, some of the icons in my folders default to the standard android
icon .... anyone know any fixes for this??
