There are two ways, I think. HTC have software to sync your contacts. Or, do your contacts in Gmail. The Magic syncs everything, including contacts, with gmail.
If you still have your Nokia, you might try Google Sync to sync your Nokia contacts with Gmail. However, when I first used Google sync when it launched, the first time you synced it would overwrite you phones contacts with the Gmail contacts - so check if that's still the case first.
This whole issue highlights the value in having your contacts in a phone independent contacts like Gmail. No more being locked in to a handset maker like Nokia
