Hi. I'm so flippin angry right know. My HTC one x screen cracked tonight. Apparently the Mrs was responsible still think it's my 2 year old. Anyone have an idea more or less how much it will cost to fix and where I can go to have it fixed. Don't have any
insurance on the phone.

Still feel like crying lol. Both I'm afraid. Someone said I must take to Leaf as they HTC representative in South Africa . But don't quite know where in Cape Town they situated or if they have offices in Cape Town.

Thanks. Phoned the HTC call centre and they gave my a contact number for Regenysis in Midrand. They gave me an estimate and said it could be +- R2200. Now i regret not taking an Samsung Galaxy S3 instead.

The S3 probably would have been more damaged. It's way more flimsy than the One X.

When I got my S3 at the CellC store, another guy was changing contracts into his sons name. He showed me his S3 shattered. He dropped it a few days after he got it.

Screen phones crack, the HTC has better build quality.

I found a place here in Cape Town that quoted me R1050 plus they're turn around time is usually 1hr the guy assured me.
Don't know though sounds too good to be legit but R1050 is far cheaper then +-2200. What to do?????

If its a legitimate shop, give it a try? But I did have a bad experience once with a shop in Rock cottage in JHB, those bastards took my phone in for repairs (Sony Ericsson W810 or something) and they just vanished. Though this was like a decade ago.

In China, where you can get everything cheap...a super amoled is R1300 (cost price), the SLCD is about R400 - 500.

So yeah, if the quote is for 1k, it would seem legit.

you'd will definitely kiss your warranty goodbye if you go to this guy

Hi I'm in Durban where can I get my HOX repaired? Just the glass is cracked, actual screen and touch works 100%

Did you come right?

I have the same problem. Love my HTC, but Vodacom Service Centre want over R2000 to fix. If you wouldn't mind please tell me: Who did you go to & did they do a good job?

I sent you a friend request in case you want to DM me.

Thanks
