Of course, as soon as i rooted i installed autostarts, and removed all the unneeded starting of apps for random system events, such as htc hub, etc.
The only mod i flashed is the battery percentage in notification bar mod.
Phone is smooth as butter, battery lasts longer, camera seems to focus better(im about 80% sure of this one), and most importantly multitasking is now a dream.
SO worth it.
Really recommend to any one x owner.

PS : Sonic 4 ep II is THE @#$%. Runs beautifully even with music playing in the background and various other apps running. Have only just begun max payne as well, seems excellent.

I'm running the same setup. The battery performance is a lot better - at the moment my GPS & WIFI are on all day and Google Latitude is always on for updates. If had to run the same things when I first got the phone my battery would last half a day easily.

I've had a Sh25 since the first week when MTN launched it and there have been no issues as yet. The only issue I've experienced more than once is the signal. Occasionally the phone will just not get signal, even though my work BB is fine. Both are MTN.. If I do a restart the phone returns to normal. The phone is rooted with ARHD though, there may be an issue somewhere.

Google released JB out in the wild and sent it to the manufacturers recently - I hope HTC are quick in releasing it!

Did you send it in like a normal fault or did someone do something special for you?
 
ARHD 7.2 is out with mostly some bug fixes. Was thinking i should upgrade when i had a look at Renovate - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705334. It's a sense based rom with tons of sense bloat removed. Have just put it on to download. I think its a full 200Mb smaller than ARHD. I've grown to hate the sense launcher's dock, and all the disabled apps at the bottom of my app list, but the vanilla builds don't seem to be that grand. Think this will be a nice compromise.

normal fault. they treated it like an oob failure. HTC SA were not even aware of the problem...
 
I was quoted 2.5k for getting my shattered screen replaced. Anybody know of any cheaper aternative?

All in all just under a month. They were 10 days late. This is my third order and every time they make some or other mistake..but in our little corner of the world we're often left with no choice..

Does anyone have a really good media streaming app for DLNA devices?

Also waiting on the black leather pouch from Expansys - a week late now; some customs delay apparently.

not too excited hearing of expansys's delays tho, i just ordered a gel case, it says 5 days,was hoping to get some sort of case quick

Cool, any speed up would be even better. I must say that even with high usage my battery performance has improved a lot, probably due to the battery improving with a few charge/discharges :)

Yeah, definitely need something to protect that beautiful body. I got the black gel case and it took about 2 weeks from them. For the low price I wasn't expecting much but was very happy with the fit and protection it offers - score. It does increase the thickness slightly and obviously doesn't protect the glass from keys in the pocket so want to see if the pouch works for me or if it takes up too much space in the pocket.

yep it wont protect screen. how much thicker does it make it?i hope not too much?
 
i also got gel cases from ebay. about R18 each which is quite cheap. not much thicker. Also I finally have two pouches that allow proper access to all the peripherals.

i have no idea about the quality though. its a bit of a lottery. my desires screen was fine but my sisters desire hd wasnt like the original. still useable but not the same.

No, too much thicker, but it really is a slim phone that even the thinnest gel case will increase the thickness (especially important when you're showing off to friends :) )
 
yea as long as is not much thicker than the barely there case thn its cool. i hear this gel case protects the camera lense ?

Yes, definitely stops the lens from rubbing against the table when lying on its back. Haven't tried the Barely There but the reviews are good....

I was lucky. most of my items (about 11) arrived within two weeks.
