HTC Touch Diamond

ICS, you have to enable it in network connections, there will be a WM connection which initially is disabled, i got 2.7 megs on international speed test, not bad, should go 7.2 max

Thanks, but is this if you are using Internet Connection Sharing? Do you know how to setup the phone as a normal modem (like you could do with the older phones)?

EDIT: I found a solution that works like a charm. So i'm leaving the post if anyone else needs this information.

SOLUTION: Don't even bother with ICS. Download PDANet from http://www.junefabrics.com/pdanet/index.php and install it on your Windows XP or 2000 PC. The setup will install the needed module on the WM6 device and from there you just click on the PDANet icon in the system tray of you PC and it will setup the connection. The cool thing is that GPRS Monitor will still track the data being used and the connection seems (i might be imagining it...) much more stable than going through ICS.

I'm loving this phone more and more every second! :)

Has anyone tried to download and install the 31 July 2008 ROM Update from the HTC Club website? www.htc.com > Support > Touch Diamond > Software Download > ROM Upgrade.

When I enter my device serial number the HTC system says "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device". Same happens with the Sprite Backup tool.

I seem to be having a problem with my camera, I start it up and all i get is black screen, rebooted it and then it was ok, not it is back to just a blank screen. I can access the camera menu, but otherwise nothing happens....Even if I reboot still wont work...What can i do? :(

Updated my rom to the latest one, some of the graphics effects are not present anymore, then downgraded again.

IMO keep ur rom, only upgrade ur radio to '.05 from the xda site http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=430

as to the rom update i think that you will first need to install the olnix rom(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400950), then the other

note that this may void ur warrentee

Could you possibly post a "how to update radio for noobs" step by step guide? I am very new to this kind of updates and don't want to bugger my phone up :p

MTN had a Womans day special on the TD, very cheap apparently... just heard.

TF3D is a lot faster with 1.93 ROM! Also, cell reception seems better ... more bars at the office. Haven't yet timed battery life, which is apprently also improved quite a bit.

FTP?

Arthur please post link of Leaf's ftp site, username and password so that the rest of us can also upgrade software.

I cannot find link anywhere on Leaf's website...

Well, since Leaf freely gave me the info, here it is:

Leaf FTP site: ftp.leafwireless.com
Username: MN62
Password: 123456Mn

Go to WindowsMobile directory and download the Diamond ROM Upgrade (102 912 942 bytes).
Filename: RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE-AFK_1.93.421.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe

Installation is straightforward: Whilst connected with ActiveSync (XP) / WMDC (Vista), execute the downloaded file on the PC and follow the prompts. Once started you'll see a progress indicator on both the TD and PC. Upgrade took <10 mins on Vista Ultimate PC.

Remember to back up your personal stuff before upgrading - except for what you have on the 4G Internal Storage the device is cleared and reset so you'll have to reinstall apps, customise and resync.

How did you get the update on Leafs site? They said I have to come in for the SW... Link?
