No infrared ... but get GRemote from xda-developers ... man what a powerful little program

is beam = infra red

if so why have send contact using beam as an option

I am using 1.00.25.08 Protocol Stack 52.33a.25.17U, it "appears" better but the best bet would be to have two diamonds with different radio versions to compare.

I just flashed .14 from dutty's site ... I know all the weak spots on my way home, so it should be easy to compare the radios

I thought that beam referred to infrared rather than bluetooth

I also seen to have lost the ability to discover bluetooth devices

I got my Diamond on Tuesday, i love it!

I was wondering if anyone knows hot to change the internet connection to GPRS instead of 3G or EDGE?

What is the best size picture (in pixels/cm) to use for the pictures for contacts?

I know this is a noob question, but Google just is not helping out here... when I plug my phone in to USB, How do I automatically sync all photo's from my phone to my PC. Basically I want all the latest pics I have taken to automatically sync with My Photos folder on my pc.

I have MS active sync running, but that only syncs my Outlook stuff.

I'm not sure if this works on the Diamond, but it does work on my Touch Pro so it might work for you. Go to Settings-->Connections-->USB to PC. On that screen the ActiveSync will be selected, select Disk Drive instead and click OK on the top right of the screen.

The above allows one to access the memory card of the touch flo and use it as a hard drive. I'm assuming it would allow Diamond users the ability to access their 4GB built in memory the same way.

If the above does not work, do an ActiveSync normally with your phone, in the ActiveSync program there is an option called Explore on the toolbar, just click that and you should be able to browse the files on your phone like it was a HDD.

I have that option and use it all the time...I either sync or use it as a hard drive....But I want to be able to sync my camera pics from my phone to a folder on my pc when I plug the phone in....I don't want to have to go looking for them and copy / paste all the time. But thanks anyways.

When the phone syncs with the PC, does the Files folder Sync as well? As you probably know the folder on your desktop is the equivalent My Documents folder on your phone, the My Pictures subfolder usually contains pictures taken by default. Of course you can create other folders on your phone to store pictures provided that they are subfolders of the My Documents folder and it will sync that to your PC too.

I just took a look at the sync folders on my side and it seems to have all the pictures I have taken thus far.

Good Q - the pics I take for contacts look like Shart when loaded in the contact list.

when you open the camera app on the Diamond, and turn the phone sideways, press the (now) right arrow (down arrow with phone in normal position). This will cycle through some shooting modes, depending on which ones you've activated with Advanced config tool. There you will see an option for contacts photo, and it will auto-adjust whatever is needed
