HTC Touch Diamond

Ah i suspected there was such an option but hadn't found it. I probably actually should read the manual to find out for instance what QuickGPS does.

:D Yeah, that normally works. Make sure to enable GPS settings for the camera. It records the coordinates of the photo in the Exif data, which can then be uploaded to Google to automatically display the photo on the map
 
it doesn't help the manual is only on the CD

EDIT: Anyone know where I can get the OldPhone ring?

my TD seems to be constantly on Edge mode (Jhb). What could be causing this?

Check your settings under Settings -> Phone -> Band that both is set to Auto.

Then under Settings -> Connections -> Advanced network, make sure 'Turn on HSDPA' is selected
 
Thanks Landyman. Will keep that in mind. It became a non issue since I went on to my second cooked ROM.
 
I am liking this Diamond ROM.

Installed TomTom 7.45 to try out what it's like. Pretty impressive. But since I have the work blackberry I will be removing it.

Thanks - I'll give it a try tomorrow.

After a few days with Dutty's 2.5 I've gone back to WWE-Africa 1.93 (Leaf website) for one rather silly reason - I miss Voice Speed Dial, which I use a lot to dial and launch apps. There are many things I like about Dutty's latest, not the least being more and more functionality exposed in TF3D (eg forward SMSs, more Comms Mgr options, etc). But four freeze-ups with HandyMap Pro when initialising GPS left me less than comfortable.

I've also installed WIMP phone tracing/anti-theft tool and tested it. Works great.

Which radio are you using? Try to upgrade to the latest one on Dutty's site ... hectic GPS improvement!
 
I got a few questions regarding this phone:

# 1 - When using the GPS (Garmin Mobile XT) the screen turns off, i then have to use the power button to turn it back on and it looses the satellites. Can i change this?

# 2 - The screen turns off, i then have to use the power button to turn it back on and it looses the wifi connection.

Does anyone else have this problem? and is there any way to change the settings so this doesn't happen?

GPS problem - I've never seen that. I use Handymap and Google Maps, and the screen always stays on. Maybe set your screen timeout to a longer period of time?

WiFi - Get the advanced config tool from here. In there is an option to keep WiFi alive when the phone sleeps

When going through mails in the Inbox view, I’ve noticed that I am unable to select a whole list of mails by dragging the stylus down the list. Anyone else with this problem?
