Huawei announced the new Huawei Ascend P7 yesterday (7/05/14)

Does anybody know which networks will offer the P7 and what will it cost? My heart wanta a S5 but if i can have a P7 for half the price a well.

I got the P6 less than a month ago and it is awesome. Now they introduce the P7 and I am making plans to get one.

Is it just me or are they badly trying to clone the iphone?
The menus and icons even look similar. The sim and microsd ejector even looks the same.
Im expecting Apple to nail them on this one.

Would love to test some custom roms on this handset. Nice engine, good hardware specs.

It is very apple like especially on the P6 that I have now. But I rooted it and run Nova Launcher to make it more Android and less iPhone.

It’s not the fastest Phone but its fast enough(25000 on AnTuTu) but then it’s also not the most expensive Phone, its launch price on Orange is R5300 which probably means the price would drop below 5K later… nearly half the price of a S5 or G3. I Know size mean everything to most people but I like a good all-rounder that fits in my pocket. This one tics all the boxes for me: size, battery, memory, speed, display and price.
I hope that when I can upgrade it will be available from my SP.

Nope, still loving my P6. I'll see if they give us Lollipop next year, if not I might get something else.

Got the P7 yesterday. Coming from a Note 3.

Enjoying it so far. Love the size.

Bought a 16GB SDCard and had Ghost Armour applied to the back. Scared the back glass will scratch.

Isn't that a bit of a down grade? Didn't like the N3 size?

Nope. It is just too big. It is also overkill for what I use a phone for.

Compare a P7 with an S5 on GSMarena and you will see the specs are quite evenly matched. With the P7 having a better screen, etc.

Also it's costing me R250pm less than a new Z3 would have.

Just advised the Aunt today to get the P6 on Cell C for R169 with 1gig data pm. Who's your P7 deal with?

For me the P7 is too big, I might get a Nexus 4 again because the size is just right. Anything bigger than 5" is too big for me, I like to use one hand.

It's with MTN through Autopage. On the contract with 200 minutes. Was on the one where you get R 350 airtime before, but the minutes are a much better deal.
